Funny thing was -- my wife and I were totally going to Walmart to pick up DC2 anyway for whatever price it was gonna be (we expected ~$20) but lucky us, we saw it with a red clearance price tag at just $10. Pretty sweet deal. But yeah, it was on clearance so I guess YMMV. For what it's worth...

Regardless of where ypu buy it. Most "warranties" do not cover accidental damage so make sure you read the fine print. Best Buy will replace your defective product under their plan as many times as neccesary within the manufacturers' warranty (Just like you, BB gets credit from Nintendo)...

Regular edition is pretty rare too from what I hear and I haven't seen one at my Best Buy store for a while either. Great game though! I was really surprised.
