I have the hiss on mine, too. I use Ultimate Ears and I heard it as soon as I plugged it in. The Fire quickly shuts off the headphone port if there's nothing playing, but you can clearly hear a two second hiss when you stop any media, and it's there all the time while it's playing. It doesn't...
