Walmart YMMV In Store Clearance Thread I (READ THE FAQs)

Dragon Quest Treasures NSW $20 at the Ocoee Walmart. Plus a pile of random Xbox games in the non-games clearance aisle.

It looks like the collectable box was exclusive to the $200 DQIII HD set, so it's just the acrylics here. Had my hopes up with the notion of a slipcase for both games. I wish companies would offer them, especially for when there's multiple games in a set, like with the DQ HD games. Never got the...

Seems like (at least some) games from PlayAsia are safe from the idiot tax so far. My SaGa Frontier 2, Sunsoft is Back and Kwaidan Azuma Manor Story seems to be unaffected and all three have a "Not subject to US Tariffs." tag under the price.

Nah, I don't find digital all that convenient, honestly. I don't need access to more than one game at a time and if I want to play something else, Picross is my go to palette cleanser. Not to mention, with how big my Switch collection is, I'd have to divide it across multiple SD cards and it'd...

As of now, the Switch pro controllers will not wake the console from sleep mode so that might be an issue

I typically buy consoles at/around launch save for some exceptions like waiting for a new color for the GCN or buying a cheap used Dsi. But, nah. Switch 2 isn't particularly novel or exciting and I'm iffy on the game key cards. Plus, the next year for the Switch looks more promising so far and...

If Nintendo has the gall to charge full price for their dull-as-dirt antique of a game they could at the very least offer the complete version. I know they value their games, don't want to overly discount them, yadda yadda. But, charging more for an eight-year-old game than when it was new...

Yeah, I remember lining up to buy the Wii without preordering it in 2006, with someone coming out to give everyone a number for their place in line. Especially with how much more prevalent online ordering is now versus then, would stores nowadays even have enough staff on-hand to handle a...

Ehh. This console feels like death by a thousand papercuts. I can't imagine a compelling reason why it wouldn't be able to so long as it's paired. Unless the pro2 has the upgraded motion controls they gave to the console itself, it's the exact same controller. Might as well just buy a shell to...

Limited Run Games Thread - We only promise our NES games will work, not your console

Picked up a few games I passed on last time like Gunbrick and Sami Roll. The Sega arcade looks interesting but shipping for it is too damn much. BTW, If you're a GBA/GCN era Fire Emblem fan, fifteen dollars for Redemption Reapers is a steal for what I felt was the best FE game since Path/Dawn...

Ah, I get it. Seems like it could be annoying if you just want to play a bunch of puzzles, but it's still appreciated that they're willing to play around with the formula beyond a simple menu with this and the Pixel Museum game as well. Kinda reminds me of how there were hidden puzzles in Super...

No mega picross is a little disappointing, I have to admit. But I guess that's the trade off for larger puzzles. If you turn off the numbers dimming, do you still have the option to mark them off yourself like in older picross games? I noticed something about a puzzle fusing mechanic; is it a...

I definitely remember getting Breath of the Wild Wii U the day the Switch came out, and that Twilight Princess was delayed until December. I figure, if Prime 4 is a dual release, both versions would release same day. But who knows. I also figured that the Switch 2 would be revealed by now...
