I can't get online either, I think the main server is down because I've never had an issue like this before. I hope they are fixing all these connection issues, because the game is fantastic once its running.

This is going to be a day one purchase (PC) for me now, after reading all the good stuff about this and watching some videos. Shame I missed out on the beta, but I had no idea this game was looking this good since BF:BC1 was a turd.

Amazon has a 15$ gaming credit for this. I'm assuming the retail CD key is redeemable on steam, since its got achievements and steamworks. I liked the demo, aside from the fact I had to play it in windowed mode because I couldn't scroll down the list far enough to select the right resolution.

Your starvation problems is either from pollution or unrest. If its unrest, your citizens go on strike, and you lose production and hammers - build buildings that give you happiness or raise your culture level. If pollution is greater than health, it will eat into your food supply, hampering...

I'm guessing both players have to be logged in for diplomacy to work.

Scoring in Civ is kind of hard to calculate, its kind of a combination of tech level, culture, great wonders, and overall happiness - but its mostly an indication of research level. Did you find any tech in goody huts? That's the easiest way to get off to a high score quick.

I'm glad to see so many positive comments for this game. I loved Shadow of Chernobyl, so I'm going to have to check this out, I guess.

I dont think your lose much if you miss a turn, other than moving your units around. Tech still gets researched and cities still produce whatever you have on que.

It'll have a * next to your score on the bottom right corner when your turn is completed.
