This is correct and the folks who put together CoinOps for the ALU have said as much. They've tried and unfortunately the ALU hardware isn't strong enough to handle anything like MVC2, Blitz, etc. The 5.0 version of CoinOps is supposed to be released fairly soon...

I think the hardware struggles with FMV/3D games hence the issues emulating Primal Rage and area 51. This is correct and the folks who put together Coinops have said as much.  They've tried and unfortunately the ALU hardware isn't strong enough to handle anything like MVC2, Blitz, etc. The 5.0...

Agreed on not buying a drive, the process is super simple and as you note anyone selling it is making money off all the hard work of others. Check out the ALU forum on Reddit - a good number of people discussing various mods and where to get graphics, etc. I haven't done anything with mine as...

I was initially excited by many of the titles, but after reading more on each I'm not so sure.  No online for SFII, the digital scoreboard on the DL and Space Ace cabs are just smartphones (likely a cost move, but still don't care for it personally), the titles on the X-men cab are kind of meh...

Yeah, just pointing out that they didn't make that many of the Asteroids one as people thought. I got DL through the Kickstarter, in fact all the ones I've bought through them have been via Kickstarter. Probably he best route to go if you can afford it at the time and if you get in early you...

They sent out an email that there were only 100 Asteroids ones left. Not sure how long those will last, but my guess is they’ll be gone sooner rather than later.

Exactly, and that's why I said "out of the gate" . There's nothing in the original comment about why it's an automatic pass other than the $700 reference, which to me implies it's "too expensive". I'm still going to wait for reviews, but having just bought an ALU and being extremely happy with...

We're you interested to begin with and if so, what were you expecting the price to be? Most pre-made entry level Vpins start @ $1000+, so $700 doesn't out of the gate scream unreasonable to me...

Started setup on this yesterday. The build was fairly easy and feels solid. That said, after that, it basically took a large part of the rest of the day to get it up and running because the out of the box firmware is hot garbage. I couldn't get the thing to log into my wifi, no matter what I...

YMMV - I couldn't seem to get this to apply last month to any arcade 1ups. Wanted to pick up Star Wars and it wouldn't discount it. In other news, just picked up the Legends Ultimate at Sam's Club today. Looking forward to getting it set up.

Yeah, I've been researching building my own for a while and it seems pretty daunting. May still go that route, we'll see. I honestly don't see that much difference between the ATgames and Arcade 1UP machines. I see a lot of people hyped on the Attack from Mars table but for me it's pretty...

Edit- building your own virtual pin is the way to go if you have the time, money, and know how. It is A LOT harder than building an arcade cabiet. If you stick with just Pinball FX3 it’s easy enough. If you cable in VPX or Future Pinball, it’s quite tricky. It’s also quite the rabbit hole- you...

The one thing I saw on Youtube is that Zen won't let you bring over their games to the AtGames Legend, because of their contract with A1UP? Not sure I know all the details or if that matters to anyone, but thought I'd throw it out there. I was considering making my own vpin, then thought I buy...

I thought about picking up Golden Axe at $399, but didn't.  That said, after shipping and tax, wasn't that already coming out to closer to $499 in the end?  I thought I've read that the shipping cost direct was really high.  If so, the idea of it being $499 wouldn't bother me as much.  Yeah...

I'd like to see more video. Wondering how you pull off a game like Battleship or Scrabble, where each player has info that needs/should be hidden from the other(s) playing.

    Xbox Series S/X Re-stock Thread

I still have one in my cart and when I try to checkout, it tells me it's sold out online. I was going for in-store pickup, which is how I got my PS5 order through them, but didn't work this time. I'll keep trying throughout the day, but not getting my hopes up on this one.
