Most people follow the generalization that an HDMI cable is an HDMI cable, if it works it works. No distinct advantage to buying a $60 cable vs. a $1 cable. However, if your interested there is this short FAQ. Also, yes these cables will work for your PS3.
HDMI FAQ
Remember that HDMI cables are no longer classified by standard (i.e. 1.3, 1.4, etc).
There are now five main types of HDMI cables:
Standard Speed (with or without ethernet channel)
High Speed (with or without ethernet channel)
Automotive (don't worry about this one)
Standard Speed = up to 1080p for 2D and up to 720p/1080i for 3D
High Speed (like these cables) = up to 4K (4096 x 2160) for 2D and up to 1080p for 3D
All HDMI cables (even pre-HDMI 1.3) support ARC (audio return channel).
However, if you need a cable that supports ethernet channel, you need it to specify as such (these don't). Even though the HDMI plug is still 19 pins, the 14th pin is no longer reserved (not connected). Together with the 19th pin it supports full duplex transfer rates of 100mbps (comparable to cat5 ethernet cable).
*The HDMI 1.3 and 1.4 standards both call for a "High Speed" bandwidth of 10 Gbps. If you ever find an old HDMI cable that is packaged as "HDMI 1.3", it is technically the same as one marked as "High Speed without Ethernet".
