Yeah no shit Ace. What's the incentive though for someone to help you out? Other than showing you're another pompous internet nobody. Not too many people want to help out someone A) They do not know, B) Posts like an ass, C) Has been within the "community" since January 2008, or D) Offers little in the way of reason why someone needs to be generous to you.
Christ, you probably got the card free from buying a new release game to begin with.
Please stop trying to sound superior over concepts a fifth grader could understand. We all understand what you're saying, and we think you're a big enough loser to not help you out. Sorry buddy, but get the hell out, we don't want you anyway.
A)Posts like an ass? I think you have the roles reversed here. My posts are only guilty of being retributive. And obviously since not everyone on the forum knows me, they have the need to shit all over the thread. tyvm.
B) Member since 2008? So what? Does that make YOU superior oh mighty cag frequenter?
C) I didn't ask for generosity, but that would have been nice. And people need a reason to be "generous"? I mean, its not like people are losing anything through using a egiftcard+cash or creditcard rather than all cash. More like a small favor.
And i have to have a reason to receive generosity? Do I have to be a blind deaf cripple with cancer? Read the first post- i just need a way to pay for audiosurf on STEAM.
D) And no, its a eGIFTCARD. I did not receive it for picking up a game.
E) Your justification for flaming: "too loser to receive help". lol.
Actually, not really. As a poster said above, CAGs are here to save money, not make money. At clearances, for example, guys from Slick Deals would hoard all of the games and guides and leave none. CAGs take what they'll use, and give a heads-up to the rest on the respective clearance threads for local CAGs.
Lol, I learned this first-hand when I was at the TRU sale- I only bought one of each penny guide, even though there was a stack of about 20 at the store. And if someone does buy more than one, they usually sell the extras at cost + shipping to other CAGs that can't get a hold of them.
Taking a $2 hit would build up goodwill, me thinks...it's karma, it will come back to you here.
As a slick deals frequenter, thats what I thought coming to CAG.
We can all read, but the answer is still the same: BECAUSE YOU CAN GET THEM FOR 70%-80% OF FACE VALUE ELSEWHERE. Why would people on CAG buy something for face when it is readily available through various sources for 20-30% cheaper? Just because we like the site and its members doesn't mean we will be gouged to "strengthen community"
Im sure that not everyone pays everything they buy through ebay'ed gift cards. And 20-30%? Lol. I wish that was true. Check ebay completed listings for circuit city gift cards. Typically 90%+ value.
Thanks.
and bump.
