Selling a $10 egift card for face value. If you're going to buy something there, please take this off my hands.

Non-CC paypal please.

The gift card can be used in stores or online. Thanks.

*edit* - I'll take $9.95 for it. I needa buy audiosurf off steam =)
Good luck selling a gift card at face value, try dropping the price by a buck or so.
Im the one with the great attitude? People shitting all over my thread and i'm supposed to smile? Awesome forum.

Yea that gives me real confidence in doing business with you. If that doesnt matter then maybe you just plan to take someones $10 and give them a used GC. Since it doesnt matter.

Good luck with that though. Enjoy the free bump.

Well youre just not giving off a good vibe. People are just saying that you will have a hard time selling a GC for face value. Im sure you can go to ebay and buy one for like $7-8 now. They were just trying to help you out.

Thats fine, but if people bothered to read my original post- I was looking to sell for face value. Very simple concept. I'm well aware people often sell gift cards for cheaper. Thats fine by me.

If someone was going to go to circuit city to buy something anyways, i don't see why taking a gift card I dont plan to use anytime soon would be so unheard of if there was anything that resembles a community in this forum. Everyone in here has a reseller mentality seriously.

Feel free to threadcrap more. Obviously this is a toilet.

Have you read anything i posted? Apparently not. Good job.
If you love saying about how crap this forum is then leave. You're never going to sell a gift card for face value either.
Read above. The forum doesn't suck. Its people like you who suck. People that have nothing better to do than threadcrap.

"If someone was going to go to circuit city to buy something anyways, i don't see why taking a gift card I dont plan to use anytime soon would be so unheard of if there was anything that resembles a community in this forum. Everyone in here has a reseller mentality seriously."

Apparently no one is capable of understanding or reading. Its not rocket science.

We can all read, but the answer is still the same: BECAUSE YOU CAN GET THEM FOR 70%-80% OF FACE VALUE ELSEWHERE. Why would people on CAG buy something for face when it is readily available through various sources for 20-30% cheaper? Just because we like the site and its members doesn't mean we will be gouged to "strengthen community"

Yeah no shit Ace. What's the incentive though for someone to help you out? Other than showing you're another pompous internet nobody. Not too many people want to help out someone A) They do not know, B) Posts like an ass, C) Has been within the "community" since January 2008, or D) Offers little in the way of reason why someone needs to be generous to you.

Christ, you probably got the card free from buying a new release game to begin with.

Please stop trying to sound superior over concepts a fifth grader could understand. We all understand what you're saying, and we think you're a big enough loser to not help you out. Sorry buddy, but get the hell out, we don't want you anyway.

What he said! What he said!

But seriously, a "reseller mentality?" From the CAGers that I know, we aren't resellers. We collect, we enjoy getting games at good prices, and we'll pick up what we see at clearances to come on here and trade within the community, but at the value we purchased. We aren't here to make money, we're here to save money.

Oh, and not deal with douches like you.

hm.... buy a gift card from someone with 1 feedback for face value i mean $0.05 off or just get one from circuit city...... the choice is so very difficult....
Everyone in here has a reseller mentality seriously.
Actually, not really. As a poster said above, CAGs are here to save money, not make money. At clearances, for example, guys from Slick Deals would hoard all of the games and guides and leave none. CAGs take what they'll use, and give a heads-up to the rest on the respective clearance threads for local CAGs.

Lol, I learned this first-hand when I was at the TRU sale- I only bought one of each penny guide, even though there was a stack of about 20 at the store. And if someone does buy more than one, they usually sell the extras at cost + shipping to other CAGs that can't get a hold of them.

Taking a $2 hit would build up goodwill, me thinks...it's karma, it will come back to you here.

A)Posts like an ass? I think you have the roles reversed here. My posts are only guilty of being retributive. And obviously since not everyone on the forum knows me, they have the need to shit all over the thread. tyvm.

B) Member since 2008? So what? Does that make YOU superior oh mighty cag frequenter?

C) I didn't ask for generosity, but that would have been nice. And people need a reason to be "generous"? I mean, its not like people are losing anything through using a egiftcard+cash or creditcard rather than all cash. More like a small favor.
And i have to have a reason to receive generosity? Do I have to be a blind deaf cripple with cancer? Read the first post- i just need a way to pay for audiosurf on STEAM.

D) And no, its a eGIFTCARD. I did not receive it for picking up a game.

E) Your justification for flaming: "too loser to receive help". lol.

As a slick deals frequenter, thats what I thought coming to CAG.

Im sure that not everyone pays everything they buy through ebay'ed gift cards. And 20-30%? Lol. I wish that was true. Check ebay completed listings for circuit city gift cards. Typically 90%+ value.

Thanks.

and bump.

I understand where you are coming from. But you should really be using common sense. Just look at the URL for this website. "CHEAP ASS" should automatically tell you, you know, that people are cheap here.

Also, you talk about eBay getting 90%+. Why would you expect to get 100% here. If eBay is so fucking great to you, sell it there!

Oh, and you're welcome for the free bump.

Thing is I hate ebay, but thats where most gift cards are sold and usually thats where people reference prices- just as you have right now.

Well i'm just saying- if someone is going to pick up a game at circuit city anyways (lets say DMC4)- do me a favor and take my gift card?

You might as well sale it on ebay. No one here will give you 9.95 for a 10.00 gift card. If you can get only 7.00 or 8.00 for it ebay what makes you think someone on cag *which should be cheaper than ebay prices* is going to give you over 6.00 or 7.00 :D I sale gift cards alot on ebay, and lose some of the money. You just cant sale a gift card for the full value.

it's also karma if a CAG decides not to be a cheapass and buy the gift card for what he's asking, and to end this shit already. personally, i'd do it, but i don't buy from CC =\.
Hmm, spamming and skipping people, that's always good. Anyways, you skipped my post.
Sorry, I just need $9.95 in my paypal so I can pay for Audiosurf on STEAM.

Had I seen this last night I would have done it. I bought off CC.com last night.

I don't see a problem with someone asking for a favor. Some people really act like scrooges around here. It doesn't just stop with being cheap, because I'm a cheap bastard too. Some people just act like shit-heads about it.

I saw someone mention price gouging above. So why are you giving this guy crap for "gouging" but not all up in the other threads reselling Persona, FF7 and Wii's for over retail? The guy is asking face value.

The guy is asking for someone to trade feedback basically by creating an equal transaction. It's a pretty good deal for someone like me that would use it anyways and I'd get a little reputation for it here which would be beneficial down the road. What the hell is the problem there? Pull the sticks out of your asses...

lol, are loco roco or something? you cant get full price. oh, my bad. 5 cents off full price. cuz god knows that 5 cents was gonnaaa break everyone.
lol, are loco roco or something? you cant get full price. oh, my bad. 5 cents off full price. cuz god knows that 5 cents was gonnaaa break everyone.
I actually have that loco roco screen saver. its awesome.

But yeah- I just want to buy audiosurf which is 9.95. If you read the previous posts, i'm not here to sell via lowest price. I'm just saying if you're going to circuit city to buy anything- do me a favor and pick this up.

Wait, so you want me to pay 9.95 for a 10.00 gift card to curcuit city or wherever, but you're forgetting one thing....i have a nickel, lol. so, what's the point. you gottaa lower the price or no ones gonna take this.

Not quite getting your point. Feel free to read above comments. I'm not begging you to take this gift card.

i know you arent begging me, obviously you arent. im just saying that the odds of you selling this would increase if you lowered the price.
i know you arent begging me, obviously you arent. im just saying that the odds of you selling this would increase if you lowered the price.
Thats true. But my selling point is - if you're going to circuit city or online to buy something, do me a favor and take my eGiftcard off my hands. You don't pay anything extra, I get audiosurf on steam, i dont see what the big problem is.

Okay, you can count on not selling your gift card here. I think thats settled.

The lesson in all this should be that personality and attitude count when your new to an environment; and without humility and humbleness, you can definitely count on not receiving any kind of positive posts; therefore, you would have been better not being so bull headed in the first couple of posts in this thread.

The style and use of words in your posts seem that of a bad attitude and it shows you as pompous.

Its cool to use that kind of language amongst friends, but to strangers and seasoned CAGers with bad attitudes to begin with (the few that there are here) is a bad start.

Good Luck OP, your later posts in this thread seems like you've toned it down. I hope you get the gist of my words and relax a bit.

Peace.

See man, that's the kind of attitude we're referring to. Just take a second, breathe, say "My bad guys, I see where you're coming from, sorry for saying obviously unresearched and untrue things about the CAG community."

Part of being an adult is knowing when to admit it's your fault you know. Sure we attacked you, but that doesn't make you innocent.

Good luck with your gift card.

Thanks. I have no problem admiting i am wrong and apologize quite often. But in this case, there is no need to apologize, especially to the select people I find a disliking to.
