$100 G.c. @ Target. Buy Br+2 Br Movies

Hey, folks! I'm not sure if this is more of a local deal, since I couldn't find mention of it on the website, but at the Target here in Schaumburg, Illinois, I saw a pretty awesome deal of;

"Buy any SONY Blu Ray Player plus 2 of these movies; (I'll try to remember them...) Ocean's 13, 300, Ghost Rider, the Reaping,.....and I forgot the other 2 or 3 films....and get a $100 Gift Card!!!!"

Now, there are two huge issues with this. One,..I didn't even SEE any Blu Ray Players at this Target! 2ndly, I asked 2 or 3 people if this would work with the Ps3, which would make it the deal of the century...but the guys were like "uuuuhhhhhh I DON'T KNOW!"

After askin a few morons, I called and asked to speak to some manager (after I got home) and he said ABSOLUTELY NOT.

So....for the 4 people that are planning on buying a stand-alone Blu Ray Player,...this is a great deal! Or if someone even wants to TRY ringing up the Ps3. Who knows? Maybe it'll work!

Its here in Michigan. In the Ad it says buy "THis" Blu Ray Player for $399 and two more BLu Ray's from said list and get $100 gift card..

At $399 you would be better off buying the PS3.


If you insist on not getting a PS3 though then it might be an alright deal.
 
If the coupon says "Buy any Sony Blu-Ray Player" then the PS3 will definately work. I would ignore what the manager says.


Keep in mind thats different than "Buy an Sony Blu-Ray Player*"

* Model's blah blah blah blah or PS3 excluded blah blah
 
Even if it was compatible with the PS3, would the cost after tax and with the movies really warrant a PS3?

I'm still waiting on MGS4..... I hope there are good deals at that time too.

Yes, yes it would. Play Uncharted. It made my PS3 purchase worth every penny. Now away from fanboyism and on to the deal. I wonder if you can get the 5 free BR movies as well on top of this?
