1gb or 2gb?

CAGiversary!
I jumped on the 1gb stick from Office Depot yesterday because $53 dollars I figured wasn't such a bad deal. But now I'm looking around and it seems like the 2gb are starting to come down in price as well...anyone else having troubling deciding whether they should buy the 1gb now or wait for the 2gb to go down?

What do you use your PSP for? If you are a homebrew nut and do illegal ISO stuff, 2GB is good. 1GB is well enough for me. I can rip a few movies on there, which is good just fine.

2gb. Mainly because of the homebrew and illegal ISO stuff.

If you aren't into that and just want to use it to rip videos on, a 1gb is big enough.

I like my 2GB stick and I even feel like it is too small sometimes and I've never even tried to play an ISO with it. I use it for movies mainly but I find that I can only get a max of around 4 on there at once.

I was planning on using it mostly for ripping music, I've heard that beyond alot of the older games that ripping ISO's hasn't been too successful.

Homebrew has always been on my PSP though, other than Lumines or Socom I doubt I use it for much else.

Do you think 2gb will droping below $100 will be the norm before Summer time?

This used to be the case. Last week though, a new loader has just been released that let's you play most 2.00 games like Grand Theft Auto, MegaMan, and SOCOM on 1.50 firmware.

2gb sticks are already around $90 at most places online, so I'm sure most stores will follow suite by summer.

Really? Damn.

I have read an article on a pc website that had graphs of the price drops in recent years of flash memory. It also had a line graph chart showing where prices are expected to go. 2 GB of flash memory for $50 is going to happen this year. By next year it should be about $35. I am holding out for the 4 GB cards to come down to earth. 4 GB is the max the psp can read with its firmware from what I have read. Also there is rumored to be a psp with a 4 GB hard drive in it coming this year. That would put me even with the new PSP but with a better battery life. (Flash memory uses less power than the hard drive will)
Yup, it's true. I've actually got GTA on my 1gb stick right now and it runs great. There's a list that tells you which games will and won't work here:

It never ceases to amaze me how hard people are willing to work to get something for free. Too bad I'm not savvy enough to figure this out or I might try a few games I'm interested in before buyuing.

Never under estimate the power of cheap people in large groups.

Sandisk announced that their 4 gig Ultra 2 Pro Duo stick will retail for only $179.99. So you may want to hold off, im sure the 1 & 2 gig are gonna drop when the 4 hits shelves.
I thought illegal d/l was not allowed here.....I know people are D/L the GTA ISO, so isn't that wrong?
I think Cheapy just doesn't want people discussing where to get ISOs or distributing them through this site (PMs or whatever). General talk about their existence is OK though I think.
