My last two days ave been rather productive in the gaming field. As I was researching how to open up an snes console (I know how now, I just need to see if the hardware store has the proper sized security bit) I received a call from an associate of mine who used to run a video store. Turns out in his recent moving of locations for his appliance store, he found a box of some old video game materials. I go to meet him at his store and he has sitting in a box for me to view are:
1 NES system with all cables and one controller
1 Model 2 sega genesis with all cables and 1 controller
cables for a model 1 sega genesis
2 nes game cleaning kits
1 nes system cleaning kit
various other wires and ac adapters
He said make an offer so I said $20 and we had a deal.
That brings me to Friday - after dumping a large load of mycrap bedroom to the new house we stopped at one of the two local gamestops - where the employees aren't morons or jerks and are actually quite accomodating. As I was talking to an employee I see a customer was trading in a large load of items. They wouldn't take all his stuff so I offered to browse through them. He had left both of the Metal Gear Solid games for ps1 and a black Sega Sports edition Dreamcast with 2 controllers and 2 vmus. He t old me to make an offer, so I looked in my wallet to see what I had on me; $7. I knew I couldn't get everythign for that much, so I tried for the dreamcast console, and to my shock and delight he accepted it So now I have a dreamcast that works better than my current one, a genesis I have already seemingly sold as of Saturday for $20, and an nes system to go with the games for sale in my sale thread - all for less than $30 (less than that if you coulnt my selling the genny). I'm happy
