2004 Best Buy GGC's do they still work?

Hi,
My BB has run out of the 2005 GGC's and they say they won't put them up again until the holiday season. But I did find that they still have 8 or so 2004 GGC's and I was wondering if the coupon still worked when scanned. Most of the time they don't check the dates so I was hoping that someone here has already tried to use a 2004 GGC after the expiration. Thanks.

It definitely depends on the person who rings you up. My BB was the same way back in January, no 2005's but tons of 2004's. I tried to use the 2004 but the clerk wouldn't scan it even though they didn't have the 2005's. I don't even bother with the GGC anymore, honestly. But you might get lucky and have someone ring it up for you.

I have had no problem. A few of the clerks have said it was expired, but I just tell them that I bought it recently at their store. The card still scans.

Trakan said he did it as his local BB, and had the manager sign off on it that the coupon was to be accepted, since it was one of their coupons on a gift card they didn't pull.

I believe they're supposed to pull gift cards with expired coupons, though in some cases, they don't. I know one of the BB's I go to in my area didn't pull them off the shelf, though they're behind the Customer Service counter.

Yeah, I talked to the manager, and asked if he had any '05 GGCs. He didn't, but he said that I could use an '04 one because they still sell them. OP, I'd talk to the manager of your BB.
