25% off any one item at Replay/Sam Goody/Media Play (expires June 25)

Hmm. . .all of a sudden that iPod I've been putting off is looking more tempting. I think it may be time to take a trip up to Media Play.

damnit. Also do they usually keep good stock of gba games there? I really want to get Final Fantasy Tactics.

coupon is a bit confusing, but it came from email, so they have to let you use it, I think they dont want you to reproduce the email one (which is what the OP is doing)

I went to Media Play, and the coupon does indeed work. I was able to pick up a 6GB silver iPod Mini for around $180 (retail $250). I was also able to join their replay program. It cost $16 (good for 2 years), but the iPod purchase alone gave me enough points for $35 in gift certificates (via mail). I was also given a $5 off coupon for just joining. All in all, not that bad of a day.

All I have to say is if you didn't buy a PSP yet then this would be the best time to. It would only be $187 before tax.

Do you think this works on gift cards? You could get like $50 of store credit for $37.50 and buy whatever you want later rather than buying one expensive item. I'll have to try it this week sometime.

EDIT: I found out you can't discount a gift card because you're not really buying anything, just putting money on a card. I picked up NewsRadio instead.

My Media Play rejected it saying it was a mock-up coupon that's going around. It looks a way too similar to other MP coupons Ive gotten to be fake. Personally, I think they decided not to use the coupon but it somehow got e-mailed out. As far as CD's and DVD's go, the coupon just makes them competitive w/everyone else, it's not a massive discount.

Did you get that (if so, which store), or are you speculating?

Anyone else have any luck with this? I think I might go try to buy a PSP with it tomorrow. Does anyone know what kind of warranty Media Play offers and how much it is? I hope its compareable to the Replacement plan from Best Buy in both cost and features.
