25% off Transformers toys at KBtoys = 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime $51 AC

Drat. They are all Energon/Armada versions (not generation 1, original versions.) The only one I find tempting is the anniversary edition Optimus Prime figure, which looks great. Fifty-five bucks or so for a commemorative toy is kinda pricey though.... *drum fingers* :whistle2:k

[edit: SOMEbody here's got to have that anniversary edition. Buy it on behalf of all of us, Cheapy. Make it come to life with your (presumably bad) impersonation of Optimus Prime on behalf of all of us. Live the dream, man.]

[You know, the Transformers PS2 contest made me so nostalgic I went trolling for "Which Transformer Are You?" quizzes on the net, but only found lame ones...but one quiz was "Which Insection Are you?" which I took, answering the questions sincerely...and wound up getting Kickback, one of the few & well-loved toys of my youth! Groooovy. This latter quiz site was still under construction & I figured it wouldn't have wide enough appeal to post a thread here over.]

I just added a $5 off coupon...
I'm trying to think how pissed off the future Mrs. CheapyD would be if I picked up the 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime...

EDIT:
Well, Optimus and I are good friends...

*bump* If we had PayPal raffles, this would be a great item. I could easily see at least twenty or so people sending two bucks to Cheapy via PayPal for a chance to win that anniversary edition Optimus Prime figure. Only trouble is, raffles are customarily held in an auditorium so everyone can see the slip of paper being drawn from a hat.

[edit : aha. resounding lack of interest from all corners. looks like I will be entering a single raffle in the amount of fifty-five dollars. ]

My mom would not buy this for me when I was a kid :( I had to pick between a Nintendo game or Opitmus for my birthday. Needless to say I picked a game.

I still have the Generation 1 toy in my parents attic, which is why I still haven't pulled the trigger on this one.

If you collect them, it's worth every penny.

I already own one. I'm happy with it, and if everyone wants I can post some in action pictures of Prime.
Arggghhhh....can't resist any longer.....sold!
:whistle2:$
You won't be disappointed.

My friend told me about this thing. It's freaking awesome, it's easily worth the money.

But why is Optimus holding Megatron in that pic?

I got this as a present....

It is awesome. One of the best transformers ever MADE. Die cast parts and fully articulated limps and fingers. With Megatron as a mini-gun too. And that matrix thing. It looks great if you have a nice shelf, but it is not really a toy.

I don't need it...

...SOLD!!!!

I got to the final page & saw they were going to hit me with sales tax on top of shipping & about backed out - but it's just too cool to pass up.

You can't put a price on childhood memories dammit!

MY wife told me absolutely not. She said you are going to be 29 and you are not a kid anymore. I told her fine.

BTW, I bought it "for my son". That was the best excuse I could come up with. How I miss my old collection.

Because it comes with all of the accessories that Prime used throughout the G1 show.

The Energon Ax is from the fight atop the dam at the climax of the 3 part "More than meets the eyes" miniseries, the arm canon is Prime's standard weapon, and the megatron in pistol mode was from another episode of the show (Countdown to Extinction, I think, where a giant meteor is on a collision course with Earth, and the Transformers all know that this would destroy them as well... Megatron grudingly allows Prime to use him in his pistol mode to destroy the meteor.
I think that's what it was, you'll have to forgive me... i spend Monday watching about 1/4 of the series on DVD, so all of the storylines are a bit jumbled right now.

I saw this for the first time yesterday at Walmart, I was like...ahh whats this. Planing to get it as i though it was in the 12-20 dollar range, then saw the 63 dollar price tag. Well im contemplating getting this right now... Do the codes stack?

The 25% off Transformers toys is automatic.
You just need to use the $5 off coupon from the first post.

I bought Anniversary Prime a while back, but wasn't satisfied with the quality.

A llittle too much plastic, and he WOULDN'T STAND UP STRAIGHT.

For $65, he had better damn well stand up straight.

Back his Cybertronic ass went.

Got my Prime yesterday...despite the fact that it took me 10 minutes to get it out of its packaging and that I think it's light is broken, its pretty freaking sweet.
KB has in-store returns/exchanges so I think I will just swap it out for another one.

I got mine in today & was a little torn at first whether to follow instinct & rip it open or leave it in the box and put it on a shelf like a good toy collector would.

I tore it open.

If you go to most toy collector message boards, thats what the vast majority do. The ones keeping toys in mint boxes are more often than not scalpers or people speculating on toys as collectables.
