I guess a PM to Pooky for an addition to the Bad Trader List probably wouldn't be out of line either.

I would agree if he had just disappeared and never came back, but he had the right of mind to delete everything in the op, instead of typing a response to say "Hold on", or "Lowball is suspended", or anything to note he needs some time to explain the situation. I have never seen anyone just outright delete EVERYTHING in the op, which is a sign that he completely disregards everyone who participated in the lowball and did not care to save anything from the op because he didn't want to know who won what.

Even if he came back to explain what happened, it doesn't excuse what he did, and I'm sure he knows perfectly well what he was doing when he just erased the entire op with no explanation at all. It's easy to hit delete, it's some effort to type an explanation. He took the easy way out, and there's no other way to look at it.

But as you've said, I think the people who participated should probably leave him the negative feedback since he did screw up, and there is no other way to spin it.
50 or 100 feedback is way too much. You'd be missing out on a lot of potential auctions.
Perhaps, but it helps avoid situations like this one. Maybe put a stipulation that you have to either have a certain # of feedback (25+), or been an active participant on the forums for x amount of time.

I second this. Especially with new traders that have less than 10 feedback. It's too easy to get screwed over, not saying reputable sellers can't do the same, but their trade rep is on the line and I don't see that happening much.

Rule #1 in the "recommended" section

#1 - A minimum of 15 positive feedback on CAG is recommended, both for the seller to be more trusted and to receive a fair amount of bids, as well as for the participants to feel a certain degree of comfort in dealing with an experienced trader.

Unfortunately, making it a requirement probably isn't something that is going to happen. Frankly, unless everyone simply boycotted the lowballs of non-established members, there will continue to be these kinds of issues. But, that's never going to happen because someone always wants to pop into the sale on the last day of the guy with one feedback and grab a few things for a buck apiece.

The majority of lowball issues have been from newer members (or members that have been here for years but never posted until their lowball pops up) getting money and skipping out, not following through with the auctions, or simply bailing like the OP apparently has.
Still, older members have been guilty of similar things as well, which is why I will continue to recommended everyone do a little research on the person holding that sale before bidding just like you would do anywhere.

Also remember, 15 feedback doesn't mean that much either and, every 15 is different.

Feedback from a guy with 14 that traded/bought a bunch of codes two years ago isn't worth nearly as much as someone else that has bought, sold and traded with solid results in the recent past.

Sometimes I wonder if anyone actually looks at more than the feedback number. Dig in a little bit just like you would on Ebay!

I suppose I will give him one more day before leaving negative feedback. I don't know why but I guess I am dumb and trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I don't really have much to say about people wishing auctions could be restricted to users with a certain feedback, seeing as I have not conducted much transactions on CAG. I have no problem if someone wanted to ask if I had eBay feedback or something, but even then it is only 28 (100% though). I've got some feedback on GAF but not much there either.
I don't know... I get the apprehension people would have in dealing with someone with low feedback. But as someone who only had two transactions on GAF, I thought a guy I was doing business with who had good feedback would be okay. He ripped me off for almost $200 and strung me along for just long enough for the Paypal time limit to expire and then bailed.
It's a tricky area.

^^^
I just said give him some time to be fair it's quite obvious this guy has abandon ship and the flood of negs should commence.... since no one else is going to do anything I will take the next 10 mins to PM everyone involved. Thanks for tarnishing LOWBALL and CAGs good name OP

ok, so I won an item in his "first part" of the lowball and didn't send payment yet. he sent one pm and I told him I would pm him after we got back from vacations (his ended last week, mine last night). Now he won't accept PM's and I see all this madness in the thread.

What The fuck fuck Is Going On Here?!?!?!?!??!?!?

And are we bombing neg feedback?

This is actualyl a two edged sword. honestly feedback # means nothing. if we put it to 25 they will do 25 small trades then rip even more people off as they feel they are secure because they have a higher, safer, more "trustworthy" score. This is a tool to simply allow a bigger rip. I look at posts, the involvement on the site, what and how they present themselves here before ever dealing with them. i didnt bid on a single thing in this lowball, which is rare for me.

I also have no patience for asshats who rip fellow gamers or cannot handle their auctions. a reasonable time has passed, feedback is left, chargebacks filed, and i move on. I suggest those that had issues do the same.

I neg'd him and sent a PM to Pooky in hopes of having him added to the bad transaction list.

He didn't end the auction, correct? Also, did anyone actually pay him? My guess is he at least didn't rip guys off. Yeah, he wasted our time but I'm used to that on ebay, goozex etc

Anyone that would have won items in the 2nd round is eligible to leave negative feedback. Spartan's neg is being removed since he wasn't even participating when it was 'active'.
He's also being put in TTO indefinitely.

Wait am I being put in TTO?What is TTO? I received a message saying I would be helping the community if I left a negative feedback so I did.

TTO stands for Trading Time Out.

I think that was unfortunate wording. I believe Shrike meant that the OP was being put in TTO, not you.
