got 3 questions but first the gamestop

I went over with Wrestlemania 21 for the xbox (could of swear this game just came out) and took it over to gamestop. I was shocked when they told me the trade vaule 12.00 I was like this is Wm21 for xbox and they go SO

the other questions now

Is LEXX Season 3 worth 16 bucks + tax (Pawn find)

also

Is Jade empire Limited Edition Box and bonus content disk worth anything (dude at gamestop took the game and said they wont take the bouns stuff for anymore cash so i might as well kept it ) and you wonder why 90% of gamestop games online come game only.

thanks

if anyone needs the box or the bouns thing let me know .. i will probally end up taking WM21 to Blockbuster i think they give 30 there but i couldnt belive Gamestgop only gave 12

Weird just a week or so ago, my friend got 30$ at gamestop. But they lower the trade in values of their games for this 40%(trade in 4). Basically they will buy that for 12$ and sell it for 44.99 :), that is why I really dont care for GS as much anymore

I'm sure that Gamestop was quite aware of what game you had. Maybe you should educate yourself on why they're only giving $12 for it.. it might be because thousands of people have already returned theirs.

What? BUY GAMES FOR THE DAMN PLAY VALUE! You have like fifty posts "omg is this game worth n e thing I NEED to KNOW because i haev it and i paid 12 bucks at a panw Shop".. do you actually play games?

Oh, that's right, he forgot he doesn't have an XBox.

i will probally end up taking WM21 to Blockbuster i think they give 30 there but i couldnt belive Gamestgop only gave 12

Again, you're lucky to get $12. Most places don't take it. Educate yourself on the situation.

EDIT: Okay, apparently everyone's being stupid about the Wrestlemania 21 situation, so i'll explain.

The game had an incorrect pressing at the factory. This led to people buying it, getting pissed off, and returning it. THQ announced a recall and all copies were pulled from the shelves. People sent in their old copies, got the new ones, and realize that it sucks worse than the incorrect pressing factory. You're lucky to get $12. EB lowered the trade-in value of it to $0 due to the amount of people returning it.

WM 21 has little value because it was extremely buggy. The first copies were recalled/pulled off the shelves. There is a whole thread about the problems this game has over on the Xbox forum. It will be tough to resell.

edit: or what Scorch said.:)

Man i was just talking to my cousin who came over and glad i didnt sell it to Gamestop. The game is Defected. its the first print that freezes up. I think im going to take it back to the place i got it (since i had 30 days to return defected games)

I agree with slide on this one

The places that sell it won't return it, you have to return it to THQ. Even so, the second print freezes up worse than the first. It's on the site, dude. That's why I said educate yourself.

WM 21 Replacement Disc - Consumer Notification

Dear Valued Customers,

Due to a manufacturing error at the disc replication facility, gamers may experience problems with certain aspects of WrestleMania 21 during replay mode. This problem was not created by Microsoft, THQ or the game developer Studio Gigante. We have taken steps to correct this problem and are making the correct game code available in several ways.

Xbox Live Subscribers:
Xbox Live subscribers can automatically update their games directly via Xbox Live.

Auto-update download instructions:

1. Place the WrestleMania 21 disc into the Xbox drive, start the game, proceed to the main menu and select Xbox Live.
2. Press the A button to begin the sign-in process.
3. Press the A button to accept the Auto-update.
4. The Xbox console will reset to the dashboard and start the Auto-update.
5. After the Auto-update finishes, the game will restart and your game will have been updated.

Please note that one unfortunate outcome of this manufacturing error will be that following the Auto-update process, you will not be able to access previously created Superstars. All saved data, including created Superstars, will need to be recreated.

Users that Don't Subscribe to Xbox Live:
For users who don't have an Xbox Live subscription and access to the online Auto-update, THQ has developed a voluntary disc-replacement plan with the disc manufacturer, effective April 29, 2005.

Disc replacement instructions are as follows:

1. Call the replicator at (866) 635-2345 to notify one of its representatives that you purchased a problematic WrestleMania 21 disc.
2. Verify disc code (you will be prompted for this).
3. The representative will walk you through the appropriate steps to receive a replacement disc at no cost.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In order for your replacement disc to run properly, you may have to delete persistent data on your XBOX created by the previous version of Wrestlemania 21. Please follow the directions below:

1. Boot the retail Xbox without a game in the disc tray.
2. On the Xbox Dashboard, select the Memory option.
3. Select the Xbox hard disc.
4. Scroll down to the Wrestlemania 21 title folder and select it with the A button.
5. At the prompt, press the A button to delete the title folder.

Future WrestleMania 21 Customers:
For future WrestleMania 21 customers, the correct game disc began to ship to retail May 3.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for your patience while we address the issue.

Sincerely,

THQ Customer Service

What does "Defected" mean? And why is it capitalized?

Are you agreeing with a specific point? Or his general ignorance?

[/QUOTE]

Since now one else is answering, Lexx is well worth it for the whole season three set for under 20 (even though season three is by far my least favorite of the 4).

If you were a store well aware of the fact that the game is defective, and you've had numerous returns of said game, how much would you honestly offer to buy it back for, so it just could sit on the shelf and collect dust?

Considering all the bad feedback and publicity, THQ will be lucky if they sell another copy.

Also...work on your grammer.

You must be an idiot on purpose. No one is that stupid.

Trading in games is a ripoff 90% of the time, with the exception of the occasional good GameRush deal. $12 for WM21? GameCrazy offered me $16 for SVC Chaos: SNK vs. Capcom weeks after it was released, and WrestleMania 21 is far superior to that piece of shit game.

I doubt that. SNK vs Capcom actually works.

My copy of WrestleMania 21 works just fine.

I've owned both games... I bought SvC Chaos based on favorable impressions from the demo and lack of availability of other games I wanted at the TRU B2G1 sale. I took the game home, and it sucked. Worst 2D fighter I've played since the 16 bit era.
