Everytime I would get on live and play for about 5-10 mins at a time, then all of sudden I just get disconnected from the game... my live account would just disconnect & log off...

has this happen to anybody...??? this has been happening since I got mine 360 last week.

I don't think it's my connection since, this doesn't happen 2 me with ps2 & old xbox system...

It may be your router. I had troubles like this for months and the only thing that solved it was a direct connection. Try that and see if the issue persists.

thanks for the input...
I'll look into this...

funnie thing is my brother has a 360 just a room across and his has no connection problems... all running from the same router..

I've tryed to play live twice with COD2 & the lag is un playable. but i try halo 2 & it runs perfect. I never had any issue's with my old xbox. i'll try a direct line & see what happens.

I gotta get a old xbox to test out live on 360... sadly I sold my Halo 2, months ago...

anyway, thanks to "rywateska". I have figure out it's my router... and not my 360.. I tested my bro's 360 on my connection... and have been getting the same problems. and than the other way around. A direct connection also solves this problem...

I'm goin to try a wifi connection & hope that fixes everything...

Check the firmware of the router and see if it's up-to-date. If not, update it.

Try a different Ethernet cord, since you said your brother's 360 works OK and yours doesn't, and his doesn't work OK on your connection. Try yours on his connection, and it might be OK. If not, then yes, it might be the router.

If the router's under warranty, get it replaced through the manufacturer.
