$399 Xbox 360 Elite BEFORE official price drop on 9/7?

Ok, I've now seen the new Sept. 7 Radio Shack ad that confirms the $199 Arcade and $399 Elite prices (source: Joysiq). So what I want to know is there any way I can get the Elite at $399 BEFORE it drops on Sept. 7? I know there have been stores in the past that price guarantee products. So if you happen to buy a product and then find it drops in price in X amount of days, then they will give you the difference(sometimes with an extra 10%). Are there any stores(preferably B&M) that still offer something like this when buying consoles? I seriously can't wait any longer to buy an Elite. Yeah, I know I missed the 2 Dell deals. Oh well. $399 is still a good deal. Thanks in advance!

OK, I guess I was confused. I had thought "price guarantee" and "price match" were mutally exclusive. Meaning that price matching was done at time of sale and not really retroactive. Is this common for all price matchining policies? If not, which ones other than Best Buy do retroactive price matching? I don't want to get stuck buying at the higher price just to find out that they WON'T price match it once the price drops on Sept. 7.

Sorry for the noob questions guys.

As far as I know price matching is not retro, but Best Buy and CC have the 30 day price guarantee as well as Amazon, unless they stopped doing that you should be ok to get one now. Not sure if they have to be the same SKU or even if the new Elite will be a new SKU or not.

I have taken advantage of the price guarantee many times in the past on some expensive items, just not within the last year or so.

Thanks for the reply! I hadn't thought about the possible SKU difference. One would think there wouldn't be any. But something to think about. I have a BB, but not a CC. I might check out Amazon though. Thanks again for the reply.

If you check the MS Live search/cash back thread you can get 15% right now, and sometimes 25% off all buyitnow purchases on eBay. I was able to score a brand new elite on eBay for $300ish that way.
