5 Copies @ 47% off Driv3r Target Raincheck - What do I do with it?

AnthonyRoundtree

CAGiversary!
So I happened to be at Target today and noticed Driv3r was sold out...

Never being in on the whole Target raincheck thing (no Targets where I live) I never had the oppertunity to try it. Flame away if you think I abused my oppertunity, but I got all the rainchecks from a CAG savvy cashier with a sense of humor. (yes he's apparently heard of CAG and uses it himself)

So, I've got:

1x slip - 47% off Raincheck for Driv3r XBOX
Requested QTY 1 @ 26.88 each.

another
1x slip - 47% off Raincheck for Driv3r XBOX
Requested QTY 1 @ 26.88 each.

and also
1x slip - 47% off Raincheck for Driv3r XBOX
Requested QTY 5 @ 26.88 each.

So.... I wtf do I do with them?
Anyone else more experienced than me?

Take those to the game section, and tell the cashier you want X game. When paying, show them the raincheck, and tell them you want to substitute for X game.

I see.... so....
Generally... now that I have the rainchecks... would X cashier likely refuse to allow me to subsitute if Driv3r comes back in stock? Or is it my own option to do so...?

Most shouldn't give you trouble about it, even if it goes back in stock. I'm surprised they were actually sold out of Driv3r...

That's exactly why i seized the oppertunity.

What a total failure that piece of garbage is.

They can't give you trouble. If they do, just sayyou got tired of waiting and bought it elsewhere. It says you can substitute, so they are obligated to do so, no matter what.

Ok so... i guess I'm now only concerned with how to use this slip...

1x slip - 47% off Raincheck for Driv3r XBOX
Requested QTY 5 @ 26.88 each.

Its one paper.... requesting 5 at that price... has anyone had any experience using a multi-copy raincheck on one or more items at the same/serparate times?

whats up with that?

Hmmm, you've entered new territory there. I don't think anyone has had QTY on a single rain check before. I guess the best thing to do is ask customer service. More than likely, you would have to buy 5 games at the same time to get the full discount, because it would be a lot of trouble to keep track of it one at a time, but I would ask to make sure.

I never really caught onto the whole Target Raincheck thing myself. Maybe someone could post a link explaining it for both of us.

actually, I had quantity a long time ago.
I used the coupon all at one time though.

I got MMBN3 Blue
GS:TLA
Advance Wars 2
and Metroid fusion

And the deal with the rainchecks that no one seems to realize is that you are only allowed to use them for a substitute in the same category. The way I always interpreted it was that thje category of the game was the system and rating. If you look at the yellow tags in target, The top line is what i would percieve to be the category.

It always says something like "PS2 software T"

or something

and since Driv3r is rated M, i think yo uare technmically only allowed to get a game for xbox rated M

but other people have done other things, so maybe they are abusing it or maybe i have the definition of a category wrong. That's my experience though
Can you use those rrain checks towards buying a new xbox? can you use multiple rainchecks on one item?
technically, no, and no
but try it, and you might be able to

never hurts to ask
