$5 off Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands pre-order w/code POPERSIA

Hm... if they add a $10 or $20 credit toward future purchases I'll jump on this. But really, I know the game will be $40 at most in 6 months.

Thanks for the heads up OP! I will probably wait on this since Ubisoft games tend to drop in price pretty quickly like Assassin's Creed II. Good deal though for people who want this right away

This is annoying. Why do Ubi games drop like that?

I don't think it's just Ubi games, but the entire gaming industry in general. If you've noticed, everything from Bayonetta (Sega) to Mass Effect 2 (EA) have already come down to the $40 price. And these are highly rated titles, too. It may have something to do with the lack of online multiplayer that drives sales to compete with new releases.

Why would multi-player have anything to do with it? MW2 had 20$ gift cards from two locations on pre-order(as does reach, bfbc2 had 10 or 15?) and is 40 currently on amazon when I last checked. Games as a whole drop pretty damn quick recently.

Besides that though, this game has me a bit cautious. First PoP on ps2 was awesome, I never played the other two. What I played of the latest title I liked, though it had mixed opinions, but this whole "not based on the movie" game IS coming out basically with the movie and we never even heard about a release till just a few months ago. Skeptical of it's quality.

Yeah, I'm indeed curious why quite a few of these titles are dropping so fast. I accept it with Bayonetta cause I suspect it didn't sell well, but then there's Mass Effect 2 which, while not being an Xbox gamer (tho I do want to play the ME series if given the chance), I know had to sell incredibly well.

This is one of the main reasons I'm holding out on FFXIII and GoWIII. I know Square-Enix and Sony titles don't drop quickly in price, but I'm confused with game prices lately. I dunno what the trend is. Hell, we just got LittleBigPlanet: Game of the Year dropped down to $30.

Ubisoft games drop like a rock after a month or two. Splinter Cell and this can wait. Nintendo games hold strong - so the $20 with Mario Galaxy 2 is INCREDIBLE.

Well then someone needs to tell Sony to drop the price of Heavenly Sword. How is this game not 19.99 or less after 3 years? Most are still selling it for $50+

Has anyone had this show up in their Quick Picks yet? I have a $15 credit from Just Cause 2 that I'm thinking about putting towards this along with the coupon. The extra 5% would be that much better. :)

Heavenly Sword has always been a mess, I dunno any other games which has gone around the market like it has. It's $20 at Walmart currently. Mine had a copy, but I can't bring myself to spend a full $20 on a 5 hour game with absolutely no replay value.

Most of the quick price drops is due to the the publishers combating the used game market. You'll see gamestop selling Uncharted 2 used for 50 bucks and Amazon.com is selling it for 49 brand new. THe only game that really refuses to drop until now is the COD games after and on COD4 --->WAW--->MW2 all have steep prices until recently due to gamestop sales.

I'd be tempted but, as mentioned, UbiSoft games drop like a rock. By August, you'll probably be able to get this (or have gotten it) for $40.
