CAGiversary!
Ridge Racer 7, Gran Turismo HD, NBA 2K7, Virtua Tennis 3 and Mobile Suit Gundam: Target in Sight are all playable in 1080p. Good sign for Sony that all these games are already running at that resolution.
Beyond all that, Coded Arms Assault is just another derivative first-person shooter. It offers nothing to set itself apart from the crowd, including its paltry visuals (shown at 720p, though you'd be hard-pressed to notice). We'd consider this a mediocre PlayStation 2 game, and it's supposed to be next-gen? Tsk, tsk, ..
In the meantime, keep an eye on 1up's TGS page for a spirited roundtable discussion with Sam, Scooter, Tommy B, and myself that we filmed after Sony's incredibly useful first-party hands-on event this evening. Anyone who has doubts about the PS3's power, its killer lineup, and its prospects might be surprised that we all came away with positive impressions of the PS3 lineup at TGS. I feel that Sony has really delivered here, and I'm not alone--nearly every journalist I spoke to today echoed my sentiments about the PS3. Impressive playables, crucial exclusives, and a pipeline stuffed with promising titles in every genre...yep, this is where I'll be playing a lot of my games for the next few years.
