50 gift card at best buy with phone upgrade

It's basically $50 off the purchase if you do it in store. They'll apply the $50 gift card to the purchase price on the spot.

They are really pushing the ANY PHONE, ANY PLAN, ANY ...

So, I will get a FREE phone to go along with my $50 gift card. Might try this week.

Nice, looks like this will work with the iPhone, which means that it will work with the new iPhone later this year, and getting $50 with that would be a great deal.

Talked to Best Buy. She mentioned being a Reward Zone member. Even if the phone is free, you get the $50 gift card as long as you are renewing or adding a line. Gift card must be redeemed in 30 days.

Thanks OP! Gonna get this sometime next week. I have a number of free phones to research.

I'd say, be sure to ask all questions about your gift card BEFORE signing the contract!

GIFT CARD MUST BE REDEEMED IN 30 DAYS.

PURCHASING YOUR PHONE IN STORE
If you purchase and activate your mobile phone at Best Buy or Best Buy Mobile stores using your registered phone number, you will receive a $50 gift card instantly that may be used toward your mobile phone purchase or any other future purchase in store or online with no expiration date.

PURCHASING YOUR PHONE ONLINE
If you purchase and activate your mobile phone at BestBuy.com, you will receive an e-mail 3-5 days after your order is complete with instructions on how to download your $50 Best Buy gift card. It can be used for future purchases in store and online and has no expiration date. Once you have placed an order on BestBuy.com, please note that you will not see the $50 gift card until the order summary page.

Probably going to snag an Iphone 4 $100 or a Motorola Atrix 2 $50, and I get a $50 GC, Im sold!

AT&T store does have the have the refurb 16gb Iphone 4's for $100.

Ahh.. I see! No expiration date! Thanks! I was scrambling my brain, thinking of what I'd buy in 30 days, lol. :)

...Although, I will be getting a $10 PSN card since I have to add less than 10 cents to get Scarygirl for $9.99.

Has anyone used it to buy the phone they are getting thee gift card through? If so, how did the process work? Did the computer ask the employee a question if the customer wanted it applied to the purchase immediately? I registered but am wondering how it will work later this year when employees have no clue about this.

Hmm guy said it would show up on my rewards account and it was closing time, so Im certain it wont and I registered my number and it was a 2 yr upgrade. Do I go back to the store and bother CS, or just call? I'll try calling first.

Sorry if this is a stupid question or has been asked before. Do you have to get a plan with them to get the gift card? I already have an iPhone. I was planning on getting a free phone, then using the gift card for something else. Is it possible?

most free phone comes with a 2 year plan

I would think to get the phone free you would have to get a 2 year contract. I will not know till August how this works other than what people post and what has been put in the link in the OP.

Sorry if this has been answered, I have 3 numbers in my family plan, I signed them all up I get $150? anybody tried this?

In the Best Buy ad it says you can add up to 5 lines for $250 Gift Cards.

There's also a retention deal going on for Sprint users: get $100 on top of a $150 upgrade making it $250 towards a phone. Thinking bout picking up an Iphone 4s 32GB phone on Monday. Using the gift card would make it free.

Holy shit, awesome! By the way, either the OP needs to change the title of the thread or someone needs to create a new thread. If you click the link, the deal is back except for a $25 gift card. Not as good as $50 but still not bad for someone looking for the iPhone 5.

Actually need to use this, but how do I go about using it? The 4s price is dropping to 100 hopefully (it is on apple's site) so I'm gonna get that but this would do me so much good.

EDIT: reserve the gift card, go in and upgrade at full price and they give you the GC? any way I can redo the transaction and use it on the actual phone purchase

My understanding is that if you upgrade in store, you can have the gift card applied to the purchase immediately but if you upgrade online then they mail you a gift card or maybe email a code.

Well that's the way I understood it to work with the $50 gift card. If you're doing the $25 one listed on the site now, the terms may be different?

Read the terms, it's basically 25 off at that moment or 25 off future

You can try calling them, they're still able to manually attach the coupon for you. I called earlier today, and simply explained that I was certain that I signed up for the deal on both mine and my wife's phones, but I hadn't received any confirmation on the wife's. It took a bit, but the guy came back, told me that the "boomerang coupon" was indeed on my phone, but had never been redeemed on my wife's. He said that he didn't know why it didn't work, but he had already applied it, and just needed an email address to send a confirmation to. 5 minutes later I had an email and text verification, so we'll be taking her phone in for upgrade tomorrow.
