Well, everyone's been getting the great deals on the Sony branded PSone screens and the combo units at their local TRU's... and I haven't had *any* luck. The closest TRU had absolutly no Sony branded PSOne/LCDs/Combos in stock and the second closest TRU only had the LCD screens for regular price when I last checked two weeks ago.
Well, I was in that TRU today and they had marked their LCD screens down to $20... but were out of tickets... Argh!
So I asked an employee if they had any more in stock... Nope.
Asked if they would substitude, since the price was still up... Nope.
Asked if they had any of the combo units in back still.. Nope... But he said they were $50 (and they apparently just sold out of them yesterday)...
So I went to Wal-Mart... and price matched. They gave me little trouble, just had to call TRU to verify their $50 price (which, thankfully, the TRU associate who Wal-Mart spoke with didn't mention they were out of stock...) and rung it right up for me...
I don't know if anyone else might be able to try this if their local TRU has sold out of their PSone deals...
