CAGiversary!
Saw it on the Blu Ray forum.
http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=106062

Just got back from FYE, the store where it's normal to see $34.99-$39.99 Blu-Rays. Anyway, to my shock, there were quite a few WB catalog titles marked only $9.99!

Titles I saw included:

16 Blocks
Unforgiven
2001 Space Odyssey
The Mask
The Dirty Dozen
Any Given Sunday
TMNT
Blow
V for Vendetta
A Scanner Darkly
Corpse Bride
Every Which Way But Loose
Pale Rider

Hope that one in Houston didn't close down yet.
Anyone know if that brownbag trade-in deal is still going on?
It's still on. Clerk game me a bag after I grabbed Terminator 2 Blu Ray for $5.99 today.
It was onsale for $9.99, minus $3 coupon and 10% backstage pass.

Hmm, I wonder if I could somehow snag a bag before I went into the store and get some trade-in credit.

Couldn't you ask for one and leave? (I've never traded in to FYE before so I may be sounding stupid when I say that)

I could, but I mean I want to trade-in right then and there before I buy the Blu's. If the cashier was cool, they might just go ahead and let me do it, but I dunno if I wanna take that chance.

Also, Beetlejuice is also $9.99. Hopefully I'll have better luck at F.Y.E. as my Target's haven't had any of these cheap Blu's I've been looking for.

Could you take it out to your car, fill it with your trades and go back in, do the trade and purchase then? Again I'm new to the brown bag at FYE.

I probably could; like I said, it depends on the person working there. I've never done the brown bag thing either. I also though you could use your own bags from home, but I can't find the thread to confirm if that's true or not.

Someone link me!

EDIT: Nevermind, found it.

I went in there w/ my trade-ins in a Wal-Mart plastic bag... I asked the manager if she wanted me to take them out of my plastic bag and put them in their brown bag; she looked at me, smiled and said no :) it really depends on the people who are working. I've been lucky with my store since she let me use multiple coupons in seperate transactions. So far, I've picked up Blow, 2001 Space Odyssey, The Mask, and Corpse Bride for 5.99 each. The other FYE store nearby is cool too, except they only let me use one coupon per day. I've been liking FYE alot these past few weeks :)

Well I didn't have the best FYE experience today, but all in all it wasn't too bad.

I went to the first one with a bag of DVD's to trade in, and the woman there said I needed a bag, but was surprised I knew about the promotion. She ended up giving me one for free, I left the store, filled the bag up with as much as I could, came back and traded them in. I got around $45 in cash; I opted out of credit because they didn't have any of the 4 Blu's I wanted, nor did they have any BlazBlue copies in stock, for either system.

I called another fye to see if they had anything I wanted to pick up, and they did have some copies of Blow. I drove there and picked it up, and I had some more trade-ins to try at that store that weren't accepted at the other, but I guess they don't take trade ins after 8 pm?

I went to a Best Buy up the road and they tons of copies of Beetlejuice up the road, and I tried to pricematch, but they called the store I was just at and he said they were OOS, so I got shut down. I should've gave the cashier a heads up, but I completely forgot there was a Best Buy up the road.

I'm going to try the only other close fye within the next couple of days.

went to a fye today to do some trades. i was ready to pick up some of these blus for 5.99, but they had none of them anywhere. are these movies separated in anyway, on an endcap of some sort?

Some people have reported them being amongst all the other titles, and others have seen them in the "Blu's under $20" section.

Regardless, why didn't you just ask the clerk to look up if they had any in stock?

Went to the one closest to me still open got V, 2001, and Unforgiven didn't see any other titles then 16 Blocks used.

yea i asked if he knew anything about a sale and he said no so i just assumed they didn't have them at all. i got more trades to do so ill be sure to have them check stock next time im there. i only have 1 fye that im willing to drive to.

Pleasantly suprised by the selection at my local FYE.

There were at least 3 copies of V for Vendetta and 2001, the 2 :br: I wanted

Well, I got 3 movies from this deal V for Vendetta, Blow, and Unforgiven. They were in the Under $20 section. I didn't check in the regular section since the main thing I was looking for was Blow so the others were icing on the cake.

I got lucky because my fiance lives near an FYE and I went to see her today which I remembered the sale so I made a stop on the way home.

Just wanted to say Amazon has most of these titles at comparable prices (especially when you factor in no tax), and I saw a couple at Wal-Mart for $10.00 even.

The only one that sticks in my mind is Pale Rider; I would've bit but I just watched it on DVD, so I'm good for awhile.

amazon has all the titles from this sale for 11.50. since im from ny and amazon charges me tax its about 1.75 cheaper at FYE. mine said they will be getting new shipment on thursday so i will check it out then, if no dice then amazon it is.
