A decent old games haul at EB

Took advantage of the 1/2 of NES/Genesis/SNES stuff at EB and got the following:
- Zoop (Genesis)
- Pinbal (NES)
- Castlevania II (NES)
- Castlevania IV (SNES)
- Solar Jetman (NES)
- Joe Montana II: Sports Talk Football (First commentary game ever!) (Genesis)
- Ecco II (Genesis)
- Sim City (SNES)
- Contra III (SNES)

All for about $16. I offically turned what was a decent selection of older games into more than "picked over" I think.

Sim City alone is worth $16 in my book. I spent countless hours playing that on my SNES years ago.
 
Have fun withContra III that game is fucking brilliant. Explosions, huge bosses, explosions, fighting on missles, explosions, level design that rarely gives you time to breathe, etc.

I never could beat it on hard though.
 
Yeah, Contra III is one of my favorite SNES games. It was always fun to play with a friend because sometimes they are the reason for your death. If you played with a bud b4 on this game, you'll know what I mean. The funny thing is, I can never beat the game on hard mode with a friend but I find it not that hard to beat it on hard mode by myself.
 
hehe, yeah. My friend had SimCity, we had many a sleepover just building a city and then watching the place burn to the ground. ;)

I'm not sure I've ever played Contra III, but I played the original to death as a kid and again when I rebought it a year ago. I'm looking forward to it now that I've got my SNES actually working (lack of controllers and AC adapter have a way of hampering your ability to play a system).

WHY do they find it necessary to put the stickers ON THE LABEL?! Ususally some goo-gone and I remove these things, but that stuff fade the label like crazy and most of these look like they're mint (unless there's like a big hole under the label). Ughh...

Friends and Contra don't mix. You usually end up spending more time fighting over who gets the cool powerup then you should concentrating over the huge alien turtle with a baby head mini-boss you're facing. And let me not get into how many times my friend died and stole one of my lives to get back in there, only to die seconds later. Grrrrrrrr.......

Oh yeah. It was the best version of Sim City for a long time.

Uh-huh. I always idolized my older cousin because of the magnificant cities he was able to build. I remember one instance in particular: he left the game on overnight when his city was consistently pulling in money, and we ended up discovering a huge fire upon waking up. =P
 
I still remember the day I tried building 2 Residental spaces right next to each other, and a couple "years" later found a huge hotel built in both spaces. I never knew I could do such a thing. Or the day I had earned so many casinos that I decided to make my very own Altantic City...only to find the crime rate was enormous in that area!

This thread is making me want to bring up my SNES and build a new city...

I picked up a couple complete near mint copies of
Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure
and T2: The Arcade Game
with discount PLUS using my edge card it rang up a little more than 4 bucks... not bad for 2 complete games, the games themselves were MINT... didnt even look used and had all the Nintendo Power inserts and everything
