A Game LIKE "Diablo 2"?

I need the aid of someones exceptional gaming knowledge to help me find a game! Recently I've been playing Diablo 2 with my girlfriend cooperatively, it's a lot of fun - but due to me playing it for the past ten years or so, I'm a little tired of it. So, I want to find a game me and her can switch to that's essentially; exactly like Diablo 2.

So is there a good Action RPG that is played COOP for the; PS2, PS3, 360, Xbox or PC? Her laptop isn't as good for gaming so we'll have to play something not so graphicaly intensive (or on a console).

I was thinking of a game like Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance. Or Champions of Norrath? Something persistant (where we can keep our characters and level them up together easily) and have it so it's not to hard, if it's to hard my GF will stop playing...

So any help would be totally awesome!
Thanks

Titan Quest is definitely your best bet, and a cheap deal at $5-10. When the game came out, reviews of it were typically around 8, citing that the game was too much like Diablo 2 - sounds like exactly what you're looking for.

You could also check out Sacred 2, which is already out for PCs but also coming to consoles in a few months.

If you're interested in that, you could also check out its prequel.

Dungeon Siege and Spellforce might be worth checking out

Arkadian Warriors for Xbox Live. Wasn't the best game ever, but I had fun playing co-op over at a friends house.

Nothing comes close.

Distant runners up:
PC:
Fate
Sacred
Sacred 2
Titan Quest
Mythos

Console:
Gauntlet Seven Sorrows
Can't remember more...

There are more, but they reaaaaally aren't worth playing.

I actually think there are some custom maps for War Craft 3 that play better than some retail products trying to be D2.

Awesome, thanks a ton for the input.

I'll have to check out Titan Quest. So it allows for Lan Play?

(Most important thing is that it's fun for my GF and it's easy for us to play together. Just me and her, no online)

ALSO;

Whats better; Champion of Norrath, Dark Alliance 1 or Dark Alliance 2?

I've played a ton of Diablo clones and the only ones I have truly enjoyed are Sacred and Titan Quest. Titan Quest is a little more rigidly stuck in the whole Greece thing so I'd go with a copy of Sacred Gold. Sacred 2 is also out but seems to lack the "magic" Sacred had.

EDIT: I agree the Dungeon Siege games are good but they lean a little more towards straight RPG (Though not TOO much) for me to really call them Diablo clones. And the Neverwinter Nights games ARE straight RPGs.

I died a whole lot more in Titan Quest than I did in Diablo 2. There are also certain bosses at the higher difficulties that will completely kick your ass if you don't have the perfect build. Too Human has the exact same problem, but it's even worse because some builds are completely broken at higher levels.

dark alliance 1
dark alliance 2
xmen legends 1
xmen legends 2
marvel ultimate alliance

along with Champions of Norrath are all easier games. Between the 2 Dark Alliances and Champions I would just get the cheapest one you can find. The differences aren't big enough to pay a premium for one over the others.

titans quest looks like it was built off of Diablo 2's engine. Hell it looks like it was just a mod for the game. I might check it out.

Titan Quest was the choice of all the people who I knew addicted to Diablo 2. It will do till Diablo 3 is out. Shame the company went out.

I really liked the original Dungeon Siege, though I never played the sequel. I know some had hostility towards it, but I never got it. A fun little game to me.

I'll reiterate that nothing comes close to D2 but my friends and I enjoyed champions 1 and 2 when they came out. IMO those are your best bet for an easy game to get into.

Dungeons and Dragon heroes was a good diablo like game for the original xbox, i would recommend it.

It's been a while, but I do believe Titan's Quest allows for LAN. I played it LAN! LoL

I think DA1 Might be the best of those choices...

I will reiterate what some other posters, nothing really compares to Diablo 2. I went on a D2 bender this summer, and I think its still the best in terms of Action RPGs (despite the games age). As others have mentioned Titan's quest is a competent, I didn't get through it, but I wasn't playing multiplayer so it didn't really hold my interest.

Dungeon Siege is a easy action-rpg (can't comment on the sequels, only the original) to look at also.

I think the Console options you listed (champions of norrath, BG:DA) are fairly decent games from what I heard.

You might also want to check on Castle Crashers for xbox live. My gf and I had a lot of fun with that. Its more brawler than action rpg, but simple and beautiful.

I would say that a lot of D2 people have come to enjoy playing Titan Quest as well. Although there is another option which is just waiting for D3. That may take a while though seeing how Blizzard didn't even set a release date for SCII.

Tried Titan Quest. I don't prefer it and I don't think I'll be going to it... it's a little to MMORPG like. Not really fast paced action like D2 and I don't really like the skill system! Does look friggen gorgeous though, may be worth a play through at another time.

Champions is better than the Baldur's Gate:DA games simply because there are more options and customization. It also has four player co-op which BD doesn't. I am not certain if you can system link the PS2/PS3, but if you can, you can play lan style with your own screens. The second Champions game is more like an expansion rather than a sequel, including the fact that you can import your character. If you have a BC PS3, definitely check them out out.

Having said that, the BG:DA are still very good and actually have a better story IMO.
