So, managed to track down the last new copy in my city (out of 5 or 6 game stores) only to find out it was the last new copy, and was gutted. The case was littered with stickers, but it dosen't bother me since I don't collect gba games complete (but I do every other system... isn't that odd).
Go home, and I check Gamestop's online game finder... I'm curious to see if any Riviera's have popped up used before I start playing my new copy. Sure enough, one Gamestop about 10 miles over had one, the real kicker is that the price is 19.99 for a used copy.
Called up the employee, who told me they did have one since he was the one who did the transaction, and looked for a copy. I had a feeling it would be OOS, since the other Gamestop's that kept getting them would be sold by the time I called. Got lucky, and he had one left, cart only.
I go there, he manages to find the box (but no manual), and after my 10% I get the game for 19.25, and promptly return the new but gutted copy to EB. I figure this game won't drop anytime soon, and saving 13 bucks on a new game > having a manual, that i'll probably only flip through once.
So yea, to anyone who is looking for a copy and just wants the game, it seems to be getting traded in frequently, at least around here. Employee mentioned how this was the second copy to get traded in so far, and usually these niche games don't get traded back so fast. Reviews have said it's not an RPG for everyone, and I guess some people expected something different.
Not a major haul or savings, but since that 13 bucks can just go towards my Xbox 360 fund, I consider it a huge plus.
