So, I find myself in possession of 3 games with $37 trade-in values that I have no intention of playing again, as well as two $25 gift cards. I decided to do the only reasonable thing: cash them in for a used PSP from EB.
I went to EB last night. They had a practically mint PSP, but I ran into a huge snag -- apparently, the Winnipeg by-law means that not only do I have to spend the credit from the games immediately (which I already knew), I also can only use the credit towards other games, not hardware. Which means no PSP for me.
There's hope, though. When the cashier saw my disappointment, she told me that if I wanted to trade them in for a PSP, all I had to do was drive to Selkirk, which doesn't fall under the same by-law. Trade in my games for store credit, then some back here and pick up the PSP with the credit.
This is easy enough for me to do -- Selkirk is only a 40 minute drive from my apartment -- but I was wondering if anyone else has done this. I'm getting a little paranoid.
Just to be perfectly sure, at any EB outside Winnipeg, I can trade in games for store credit, and use that credit at any EB to buy anything, right?
