A scanner darkly 7.86 blu ray

I was about to say that Amazon had this at a similar price but it looks like they jacked it back up to 16.99 (on Amazon).

I remember learning about this movie (when it first came out on DVD) and being totally excited because of its visual style and presentation. After watching it, I felt like it was only worthy of a rent.
For an $8 Blu-ray, I guess the price may be right. I, personally, wouldn't go for it (especially that I've seen it already).

If you've read the book which is better (isn't that always the case) the movie is still ok. Although I do agree this movie is not for everyone even at the low price point part of the reason being the visual style in which the movie is portrayed. My wife for instance didn't watch past the first ten minutes. But if your even a mild fan of the book or curious about the film the price point is attractive. Although I will say if you've never read the book or no little about the film if you have netflix go that route first as it may not be something you end up enjoying. But if you don't have netflix, a rental almost anywhere else as I doubt you'd find this in a redbox is going to be about the cost of the blu anyway so still its a relative bargain.
