A Valley Without Wind... 1? or 2?

Hi CAG's. Just picked up AVWW 1 & 2. Do I jump right into 2 and forgo the original. Or are there things I should see in the first? Seems like this franchise (either game really) could absorb a lot of my gaming time.

They're two entirely different games. Of the two, I would just say to stick with 2. However I'm not a particular fan of either.
