Was at Media Play today, they have some deals on Adult Swim box sets. Series include at least Aqua Teen, Sealab, Space Ghost, and Brak which they had on the display.

It was buy 1 get 1 50% off or buy 2 get 1 one free. Not a bad deal if you wanted to build a collection quick.

Normal prices ranged from $24.99 to $27.99, which is less than on the web page. I noticed it Sunday too at a different one but didn't want to post if it was ymmv.

Anyone have Sealab Vol 2?

I'm curious about the Harry Goz tribute and haven't had the time to pick up this set.

Thanks for the tip OP - I'm also interested in the other DVDs as well.

(Brak, SG:CTC, Harvey Birdman, etc...)

However, Home Movies Vol 2 and Venture Brothers are at the top of my list.

Do you know if there are any other Media Plays around this area? (Besides the one on Independence here in Charlotte, or the one in Gastonia)

They closed the one by UNC Charlotte about a year or so ago. It sucks because that one was about 10 mins from our house and I had just purchased a three year bonus card membership from them.

I still wonder how long they had known about that store closing while still trying to sell those memberships to people.

They never told anyone - the store was just closed overnight, with a piece of paper on the door greeting people who wondered where the hell it had gone.
 
I wish there was a Media Play in my area. I would all over this deal and get all of teh ATHFs, Harvey Birdman, and maybe even Sealab.
 
I saw this at the Sam Goody in Mesa, AZ last week. I was there on my lunch, and forgot all about it by the time I got home that night. I need to go back and get Harvey Birdman.

Is Sam Goody, Suncoast and Media Play all part of the same company?

I wonder if it's good at Suncoast as well? I have seen more Suncoasts around than I have Media Plays...
 
Wow, even better news it is also at Suncoast. I was just over there last weekend and didn't see any signs or ads that there was going to be a sale like this. I have plenty of Suncoasts and Sam Goodies in my area. Anyone know how long this deal will last?
 
I almost picked some up at Suncoast, but @ Suncoast they were $30 each, which means either 2 for $45 or 3 for $60. I could find them online for $20 each, so this isn't really that good of a deal, since they're so overpriced.
 
According to http://dvdpricesearch.com, the cheapest price for AS sets are:

ATHF Seasons 1, 2 & 3 - ($18.05)
Harvey Birdman Season 1 - ($17.00)
Sealab 2021 Seasons 1 & 2 - ($18.05)
Brak Show Season 1 - ($18.05)
Space Ghost: CtC Seasons 1 & 2 - ($18.05)
Space Ghost: CtC Season 3 - ($17.00)

Add about $3 to each for S&H and you have a base price to compare.

I just wanted to bump this thread up as I didn't really get in on this deal, didn't have enough money and just couldn't make it out to Suncoast, and that my friend told me that this deal is only going to last through the weekend so get in on it if you still want any.
