advice for trading in at gamestop?

angrynoisefly

CAGiversary!
so now that gamestop is doing the $100 trade in promotion for ps3 & 360 and also offering $200 for ps4 & xbox one

i am thinking of trading in my ps3, all my games & 500 gb white ps4 toward that 1 tb black ops 3 bundle

and my 360, games, white 500 gb xbox one toward the 1 tb toward the 1 tb halo 5 bundle

seems like a good idea right? is should come pretty close to breaking even or have to pay less than $100 each or maybe a little more but to get a new game and upgrade to 1 tb seems ok

i've never traded in consoles and a lot of games at gamestop before seems a bit overwhelming

but i think i am ready to ditch last gen completely so that it is off my mind

i have some classic titles but realistically i just don't see myself going back to them anytime soon and need to downsize

so yeah i don't know somebody talk me through this process? my off day this week is friday so i envision myself doing this by friday

Stuff like that happens from time to time. Most associates don't care. Granted you do have to have all the cables that came with the system. Usually they just take an amount off or have you buy and new/used one. Just go to there website and start adding up all the amounts of the games you will be trading in. See what it comes up with. I think best buy has a similar deal going on so you may want to try there website to. Since you might get more from one location compared to another.

ok yeah hopefully they won't give me problems but idk does this seem like a good idea in order to get the new 1 TB models of the ps4 & xbox one? i mean i really want those models atm but i guess it seems kinda silly actually to trade in 4 consoles and a bunch of games for just and upgraded version of 2 of the consoles and only end up w 2 games but like i said i don't really expect i will be playing any of the older games any time soon and i can always purchase them again later on in time if i feel i need them but i kind of feel i don't need them right now and owning them is just kind of distracting but idk it is a good collection at the same time but maybe i can just get that playstation now and stream the games when i want to?

i kinda wish they would just make the new xbox one & ps4 models naturally backwards compatible would make this decision much easier but yeah i dont know
