I have 70 RPG's for the Playstation 1 and 2, mostly ps1, and there are a few doubles. My main question is, would it be better to sell as 1 entire lot or to sell each individually. My fear with the lot is that I won't get as much as I would if I were to sell individually, but with selling individually I might not sell some of the lower quality games and I really want to get rid of all of them.

So give me some feedback on unloading this stuff.

So on ebay, anything that sells for over $25 should be sold by itself, anything else should be dropped in a 3-5 game lot.

If you sell as a lot you'll get less for it but if you sell the crappy games in 3-5 game lots someone will buy them even if they only want 2 of the games.

Yeah. Go with what Zion said. Seperate them into groups. You have SMT games, which should definitely go by themselves. They're pretty rare.

It is my experience that you should always sell collections like this in individual auctions. The only time I would bundle into lots is if the game is worth less than the price of shipping.

Here's what I'd do:

- Now is a *terrible* time to sell. People are carrying ~$5000 in Christmas card debt & have locked up their wallets, to avoid spending. - Best time to sell is November or December. I would wait until at least April before trying to sell anything.

-

- That said, I would list each game individually for 99 cents, because that's the cheapest listing fee. Don't worry. If a game (like Suikoden) is worth $100, it will rise up to $100 naturally through bidding wars.

- I would also go with a 10-day listing over two weekends, so you get the most viewers. And set your shipping/handling at $4.00 to cover your packaging/gasoline expenses.

- Then wait.

- Anything that does not sell for 99 cents, you get a free relisting. Drop the price to $0.01, raise ship/handling to $5.00, and try again.

- Wait.

- Anything that does not sell for $0.01, you can then keep for yourself and/or trade into the local EBgames for a buck. (Or relist as one large multi-item auction but I think you'd make more money via EB trade-in.)

That's the methodology I use & it's profited me greatly (literally... I make money off ebay).

I'd say give back to CAG and offer them up for trade here first. Then sell the rest on ebay... But I'm really only saying that because you have a few I want. ^_^

Sell the games that sell for $10 or less together or if theyre part of a series then they could be together. I say individually though since ud make the most money that way, but you go through a lot of hassle unless every games condition is the same.

BTW Im interested in Suikoden 3/4

Individually, theres more people looking for....lets says Suikoden I then there are for Suikoden I, FF7 and FF Tactics.

Also don't forget to do international shipping it's teh bomb!

You could send me all of your games and I'd sell them to famous people for like, AT LEAST TEN TIMES the value. I promise I'd give you the money*.

*Money stipulation subject to change

Don't forget to sell it in a lot and send it all media mail.

Seriously, sell 1 or maybe 2 at a time for the good ones. Just like already pointed out.

You have some rare games that you need to really keep track of, so pop for delivery confirmation. Paypal will happily screw you every time, if you do not have dc. Don't know if you can get ahold of a scale, but since you've got a lot of games, and it seems you're selling your own stuff, try endicia.com for online shipping. Dc is only a dime extra, unlike the p.o. where it's 50 cents. And the first month with endicia is free, so if you don't sell anymore, you can just opt out.

You may also, depending on your feedback, want to break up the groupings and save the Suikoden and such for later in the game when you've built up feedback. I can tell you a higher quantity of good feedback has boosted our end price tremendously.

If you're really worried, some of the lesser games you can always put at fixed price. It costs a bit more, but I bet ebay will have another fixed price sale, since this is the lull time. Then it's only a dime usually.

So give me some feedback on unloading this stuff.[/QUOTE]

wow, your rpg collection is almost similar to mine own collection. You should really sell items that go for $20+ individually and put games lower then that in a bundle with a high know game such as final fantasy, this way you get more viewers and more potential buyers.

Since you're selling your games individually, I'd suggest you do some sort of combined shipping discount. As you can tell from posts just in this thread, there will probably be folks who want more than one of the games you're offering. Doing combined shipping encourages bidders to bid on more than one of your auctions.

just thought i'd update, out of the 70 listed I sold 68 with 4 non paying bidders. I collected $1000 that excludes the npb's. Thought it might be helpful for anyone interested in dumping their collection on ebay.
Thanks to everyone who helped.
