I used GameFly last winter, and while the game selection rocked, I was a little put off by the fact that, if I put a game in the mail on a Monday to return, I wouldn't get my new rental from them until Saturday at the very earliest. Does anyone here know of another online rental service that rivals GameFly, and has faster turn around times? I'm far too lazy to do a search myself, or even finish the rest of this s

I've tried them all and Gamefly is the best. Redoctane, GoVoJo (I think they've changed names or consolidated now) and others stink because of the lack of availability of titles. I still used to hate it because I was in the same situation as you...it took me a week to get new titles as well. But they do have a new service where as soon as the title is scanned by the post office tracking system, they ship your next game. Shaved my turnaround time by about 3 or 4 days. Gamefly is still the most expensive for the most part, but they are still the best in my opinion, and I have tried most everyone for renting games and movies online.

www.gamerang.com

They have locations in CA, OK, NJ and MN. Nearly every other company i have found only has one distribution center, usually in CA. I long for the days when we get a giant company like Netflix or BBO which has a distribution center in every state =[

I also agree that Gamefly is the best at the moment. They have good selection, friendly CSR's, and even great prices on used titles. If they open an east coast location, I would sign up immediately.

Well, not quite like the others, but you could try http://www.gametap.com

It's a new service run by Turner, and you pretty much download a program and pay a monthly fee (I think around $15, I'm not sure though), and you can play all of the games right on your computer. As I said, not really the same, but it seems like a worthwhile endeavor. There's a free trial offer, which is nice.

I dunno, I heard about it on Attack of the Show on G4 and keep seeing commercials for it, so I figured I'd suggest it :p Most of it seems to be old SEGA ports, like the Genesis Sonic games and whatnot. Although I did hear him say games like Beyond Good & Evil would be on there eventually and a bunch of other bigger titles :)

I'd actually like to know what you think about it if you try it out :p I'm curious myself as to what it's like - it seems okay, but it isn't the same as gaming on a console.

Good luck in your search :)
