I'm actually looking forward to Ghost Recon, Ridge Racer, and Lego in addition to Street Fighter.

Hell, I spent days playing Blue Stinger after the Dreamcast launch...so I'm not too hard to please.

The question is, is ssf43d still available for preorder and get 10 dollar credit alone? Or does this deal superseded that 10 credit on ssf4

I already preordered SSFIV when it came with the $10 code off any Amazon purchase...I wonder if those of us who did that would then ALSO receive $10 off any 3DS game? That + $25 3DS bonus = :hot:

I preordered with the $10 for anything on amazon, if that stacks with this $10 for another 3ds game I definitely forsee pilotwings in my immediate future.

what is the best 3ds launch game? sf4 or do you guys like sf that much? i own mutliple copies. so i dont feel like paying capcom again.

Correction: if Ubisoft is making it, it sycks. The exception is Ghost Recon.

Dont force yourself to buying sucking sucky games. Just buy a few to try out the 3d for now and wait and play something else on other system to kill time for zeldas, and marios of 3ds games

Don't tell me what to do.

i put the ssf4 and monkey ball separately the cart. and right before i placed the order, i do see ssf4 and monkey's 10 dollar credit does stack together.

so with the system's 25 credit. and ssf4,monkeyball's 10x2 = 20 dollar credit. you get 45 credit. but it does not show that you get additional 10 dollar credit on this new promotion.

ill double check.

i did checked and if you put either ssf4 or monkey ball and other 3ds game, you get 20 dollar credit, but if you put both ssf4 and monkey ball, you dont get 30 dollar credit, you only get 20 dollars.

to check for yourself, put ssf4 and monkey ball on cart, the detail of how much credit you get is on the page right before you have to click on 'place the order'.

are these promotion will stack together? let say i preordered 3ds and later on i preordered ssf4 3d, can i use both 10 and 25 on one transaction/one game?

I'm assuming you can't use the credit you got from buying the system towards the game promo because you might not get the credit while the promo for game be over by then.
what if i preorder the 3ds and a game at the same time? can i use both promo on one game?
As long as you wait until you get both credits...for example, if you waited until Tuesday or Wednesday when you get both promos, you should be able to.

alright! Thanks

I'm confused ...so the $10 credit for ALL ITEMS is gone for SSF4? instead we get a $10 credit for 3DS games only...

I guess I'll cancel my SSF4, wait until the 3DS ships to get $25 credit, then use that money to buy SSF4 for $15. Not in a rush to play the 3DS on day one.

I think I will email Amazon CS this question. I'm pretty sure their pre-order guarantee states that you get any applicable deals/price changes from the time you place the order until it ships...so you should AT LEAST get a $10 any item credit, if not both that AND the $10 3DS credit. The latter seems a bit too good to be true, but we'll have to wait and see.

Yeah, I already sent amazon an email complaining that the $10 bonus is gone..this is the old offer:

Pre-Order Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition and get a $10 promotional credit toward the purchase of items shipped and sold by Amazon.com (certain exclusions apply, including Kindle books, MP3s, and video rentals and downloads). The promotional credit will be added directly to your Amazon.com account within two days after your order ships. Offer valid when shipped and sold by Amazon.com. This offer will be extended to all existing pre-orders. Limit one per household. Amazon reserves the right to change or terminate this promotion at any time.

If you ordered it while the promo was in effect for ALL ITEMS, you should be fine.

They do reserve the right to change the promotion at any time.

I'll be e-mailing Customer Service as well. confoosious is right- they reserve the right to change the promotion. However, I'm not sure they're allowed to change the promotion without informing customers/giving them a fair chance to choose/cancel, because they might be accused of bait-and-switching.

If I had to guess, I'd say this is going to be another scenario where those who already pre-ordered get both though.

I love Amazon, they respond so quickly..this is what I got..

Hello,

I'm sorry to hear about this.

I've issued you a $10.00 promotional certificate, which you can use the next time you order an item shipped and sold by Amazon.com. You'll see your available promotional balance at checkout--this amount will be applied to your next order automatically without entering a claim code.

edit: wow. looks like you get both. amazon ftw.

Anyway... anyone think Steel Diver is gonna be good?

In fairness, the new promotion says "This offer will be extended to all existing pre-orders," and there hasn't been any notification to indicate the previous promotion has been taken away. I guess we'll have to wait to find out, though.

Amazon is really chucking out the deals. I was this close to canceling my preorder and going with Kmart. Now, there's just too much goodness pumping out of Amazon. I may wait until Wednesday to get my 3DS with free shipping, but at least I know that in the end, I'm only paying $295 for the 3DS and two games.

Hmm. I just e-mailed customer service with my SSFIV order as well. The $10 all-use credit was really the only reason I went with Amazon -- otherwise, I might as well try my luck at TRU on Sunday, but I really don't want to buy two games.

EDIT: Customer service wins again! I got a $10 promo credit issued to me, and I think this means I'm still eligible for the second 3DS game credit. Though I don't see any other games that I need right now (though Shadow Wars looks awesome).

i know for me i put in a preorder for the 3ds incase its hard to get but i might just cancel it. i mainly only play rpgs and nintendo based char games and theres nothing in those categories coming out until mid summer. im happy with my huge back log of current rpgs on the ds

Hey everyone, I just got a e-mail back from amazon and thought I would share this. So if you ordered Super Street Fighter 4 3D Edition, or Super Monkey Ball 3D within the earlier promotion period, you will receive BOTH promotions.

Hello,

I've researched this promotion and can confirm you that you will receive following promotion credit for ordering Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition.

1. $10 for purchasing any item in Amazon.com
2. $10 for purchasing a 2nd 3DS game.

As you can see you will receive both these promotion credit. As your order meets all of the terms and conditions for the offer, you'll receive your promotional certificates by March 31, 2011. If you don't receive it by then, please let us know by going to the URL below:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/contact-us/pricing-and-promotions.html/

I have a $10 credit from Crysis, and after GCs my 3 DS will be $86 with overnight shipping. Thinking about doing SSFIV for $30 with the C2 credit, giving me another 3 DS game for $5. Question is, which one..none really look good :/

Hm, I did an online chat with customer support and asked if my order (which was placed back when the $10 generic credit was on SSFIV) would get both credits. He said no, it would only be the 3DS credit.

It doesn't bother me, since I would have used that $10 on another game anyway, but I wonder why I got a different answer? Is it because I did the chat instead of actually calling them?

nah, Amazon CSRs are very YMMV when it comes to stuff like this. You could call them and get the same answer or a completely different answer. Worth a shot.

My order for SSFIV (placed before the offer changed, which shipped earlier Saturday) stated:

Congratulations. Your purchase has qualified you for a $10 promotional credit toward the purchase of items shipped and sold by Amazon.com (certain exclusions apply, including Kindle books, MP3s, and video rentals and downloads). The credit will be applied directly to your Amazon.com account within two days after your product ships once processing is complete.

So unless the changed promo automatically applies itself on top of the old promo, it looks like I'll be shooting Customer Service an e-mail.

EDIT: Actually, scratch that. I woke up this morning to FOUR (that's right, four) e-mails from Amazon titled "Your Amazon.com Promotional Credit." One was for the $25 promo for buying a 3DS, one was for the free 3DS accessory for buying a 3DS, one was for the $10 credit towards anything for buying SSFIV3D (placed before the promo changed), and one was for the $10 3DS game credit for buying SSFIV3D.

I'm just letting people know in case they want to make Super Monkey Ball one of there games, it is $30 at Wal-Mart. I'm not sure if this is ymmv doesn't hurt to check though.

I was hoping to get a credit for SFIV. I went to order as soon as I woke up and noticed the emails about the credits being posted. Damn, no more credits. I can't complain too much. I got it for $4.99, and I got 2 accessory credits for some reason.
