Hi everyone,

Amazon has another B2G1 sale going on. As usual, the prices are somewhat inflated from what they were pre-sale. The sale runs through February 22.

The sale can be found here:

The titles included are:

$17.49:
Craft, The
Mary Shelley's Frankenstein

$19.99:
Adventures of Baron Munchausen, The
Blue Thunder
Broken Trail
Deep, The
Exorcism of Emily Rose, The
Go
I Know What You Did Last Summer
Layer Cake
Mirrormask
Monty Python's Life of Bryan
Rent
Starman
Thirteenth Floor, The
Winged Migration

$26.99
Fall, The
Lives of Others, The
Other Boleyn Girl, The
Rent: Live on Broadway
River Runs Through It, A
Steep
Untraceable
Water Horse: Legend of the Deep, The

Personally, I'd give The Lives of Others, The Fall and Layer Cake my highest recommendation from that list if you're looking for a blind-buy suggestion.

Enjoy

Both the sale and the selection (or lack therof) aren't very impressive. The best you can really do is three movies for $40. That's not much better than you will find at stores in regular sales. And usually a much better selection. I only saw a couple movies that even slightly interested me.

The selection is rather crappy in my opinion, but I highly recommend The Fall if anyone finds two other films that they personally enjoy.

Exactly. I love Amazon but these B2G1 sales always seem to suck. Even when the selection is decent they always jack up the prices.

This. Amazon's B2G1 sales haven't been any good since the days of The Format War. In all honesty, you can get just as good of deals through Amazon's regular sale prices and through your Goldbox. I pre-ordered the most recent Harry Potter BR+DVD combo, and because of sales and pre-order guarantees, ended up getting it for $14. I don't even bat an eye at these "special deals" anymore.

These sales always feel so disingenuous. Amazon already has great, everyday prices, which often beat the average prices for these sales. This kind of shenanigan only devalues my opinion of them. It'd be better for them to just not bother at all!

There are a couple on the $19.99 list that I want (Go, IKWYDLS) but they aren't worth $13.33 each. I wouldn't even think about biting until they hit the $9.99 mark.

Part of this is because I am in the process of rebuying a lot of my DVD's on BD and I hate to pay too much more.

Sad to see this coming from Amazon, I expected bestbuy or somebody....

Thanks anyways OP.

What an enticement to buy two shitty over priced blu rays to get a third shitty offering for free I'd never consider buying otherwise lol.

I don't like how they phrase this as a "buy 2 get 3" offer in some places. Made me think I would get 5 for the price of 2. Regardless, I don't want any of these.
