Are yall saying it's terrible because you bought it, played it, and found it lacking or are you just going by how it's not popular in dudebro circles? I've heard the single player is underrated.
I can't speak for MP, but I thought the single player campaign was fairly decent.... far from terrible, but not necessarily amazing.
It does lack a bit in storytelling, the whole games basically revolves around helicopters... about three missions involve you getting shot down while in a chopper, while another four or so have you trying to get away in a chopper (oh and one level has you playing as a helicopter). I can appreciate that it's not a montage of crazy disjointed set pieces like the COD games and skews for something more realistic, but it doesn't quite cut it imo.
As far as gameplay goes I think it does a decent job, my gripe is that its a bit too easy to run-and-gun in this game. I tend to run into a firefight with guns blazing, COD almost always puts me in my place when I do this, but in MOH I found myself successfully clearing out rooms without any real hassle and having to wait 5 or 10 seconds for my AI buddy's scripting to catch up with me... this wasn't quite as effective in the more open areas but it did put a bit of a damper on the close-quarters levels.
