Buy any of these 24 movies between February 15, 2011 and March 18, 2011 and receive a promotional code which you can redeem for a certificate valid for either one admission or one concession reward for the movie Battle: Los Angeles between March 11, 2011 and June 1, 2011 at participating theaters.

Nothing too impressive, but if you plan on seeing this movie in theaters then the price of some of these would be comparable to the ticket itself.

EDIT: I was gonna update the link but shrike did it for me (thanks!), it's hard to find time these days to stay up to date with the site/posts.

DAMN IT, why do you have to make the checkout process so easy, Amazon? Between that, the prices, and my student Prime account they really have me by the balls.

Looks like a great deal, might pick up Casino Royale.

On a side note, how is Ghost Rider considered a "Blu ray essential"?

Just a heads up, I was in F.Y.E. tonight and found all the same titles with the same promotion but for only $9.99 each. I picked up Spider-man 1&2 blu-rays for $20 and got two movie passes for Battlefield L.A.

Since its a movie Sony over produced and has been trying to push for people new to bluray that are unaware of the crappiness inside. Not only is the movie not all that great but the PQ is PU.

To bad the FYE stores that were here closed. We had two in the mall and a best buy up the road. If I could not find a CD I wanted at best buy then I would check out FYE and most the time one of them would have it. 10 bucks makes some of them worth it however I would have to pay shipping or buy something else so I would get the free shipping. I will just pay to see it.

Thanks OP.

Awesome! thanks OP! gonna mask this as a purchase for my mom for her birthday and keep the ticket for myself :D Why all the hate for Battle LA? I watched the trailer on XBLM and thought it looked like Independence Day EXTREME! looks pretty kick ass if you ask me..

I picked up Ghostbusters... I think I've seen it cheaper, but the movie ticket more than makes up for it.

I am super pumped as well after watching the trailer a few weeks ago. I usually don't get excited for movies, but between this and Unknown (which was incredible btw), it looks like a good year for movies so far.

How does the promotion work at FYE. Does a code print out with your receipt?

Advance reviews basically indicate if you don't have a brainstem you will enjoy it or if you're male and 15 years old.
How does the promotion work at FYE. Does a code print out with your receipt?
They give you a credit card sized card that has a scratch off PIN to use on the Hollywood Movie Money website.

They gave me a card for each movie I bought. So two blu-rays and two movie passes for $20. :D

Thanx Op! I def want to see Battle: LA...not expecting an amazing movie, hopefully some good alien destruction at the very least! I hate how Amazon only lets you get one per customer on these movie cash deals! I guess I'll have to make my sister order one for me! lol

Does anyone know how much the certificate is worth? Also, I don't think it's in 3d, but does anyone know for sure? Thanks!

amazons is $10, don't know on FYE. anything above, you pay the difference.

While I am fairly positive that it is not being released in 3D, I'm not entirely sure.

I am, however, 99% sure :D

Thanks for the heads up about FYE. I picked up Snatch for 9.99 and the uninterested girl below the counter (yes, below...i never saw her) instructed her minion to give me two free passes. Sweet deal. One ticket to Battle: LA. One for Sucker Punch. (my theater does not care what you see)

Not bad for $10.

can anyone confirm that AMC will accept these by actually inputting the promo code? I've used Hollywood movie money several times before and AMC was excluded all the previous times. Just because AMC theatres come up on the basic theatre search on the website doesn't convince me they'll actually accept it if the promo code hasn't been entered

AMC is now contracted with Hollywood Movie Money as well as E-movie Cash so they should take all of those free tickets now. If they do not take it or say they can't its cause the employee has not been trained on how to use them yet.

Hrm. Tempted, but the "one per customer" thing is really annoying. I'd be more tempted if I could get one for me and one for my girlfriend. I suppose that I could order one on her account, but since she wouldn't be able to use my Prime, I'd have to pay shipping or find filler. Bah.

Haha, I was near an FYE this afternoon, so I decided to stop in and take a look, and see if they had the deal on any other movies there. I looked around the store and didn't see anything at all about the offer, so I went up to the register and asked. The guy told me that they had the cards for the offer, but that they "hadn't set it up yet because it wasn't a priority for them." He said he could bring up a list of the eligible movies on his computer, but then when he tried he wasn't able to do it, so he told me that if I just bought a couple of blu-rays he'd give me a couple of the cards. So I picked up Brothers Grimm for $12.99 and The Adventures of Robin Hood (the 1938 one with Errol Flynn) for $9.99. He gave me two cards for Battle:LA, and then also gave me two cards for $10 in movie cash for Just Go With It as well (another promotion they hadn't bothered to set up the display for, I guess -- not so sure I'm really into that one, but eh, maybe the girlfriend will be interested).

So no complaints here -- I was able to get two of the movie cash cards, and I got two blu-rays that I want more than the ones (that I don't already have) on the Amazon list. That being said, man, if I were an FYE corporate person, I'd be seriously pissed. There were multiple employees just standing around doing nothing, and yet they "hadn't gotten around to" setting up the sale display because it's "not a priority" for them? It's really no wonder that FYE is struggling, when even when the company goes to the effort of setting up a good promotion, the stores themselves can't be bothered to actually promote it.
Can anyone confirm that those Spider Man blu-ray prices are the same at all FYE locations?
I picked up Spider-Man 1 & 2 and they were both $9.99 at FYE, and I received two cards for movie money. If you want to make sure, you could always call in advance though.

Cool got Spiderman 2 for $9.99. I didn't get a card for movie cash but I'm ok with just the movie for that price. They didn't have any of the first one unfortunately. I also got a Sonic the Hedgehog snuggie for $4.99, not bad!

For people interested in other sources of Movie Cash, Walgreens generic Prilosec has a similar promotion attached to some packages. I filled a prescription for someone that required 4 42 count boxes and I pocketed the movie things from them. They are available over the counter as well though.

Ordered Snatch, but then noticed that the delivery date wasn't until March 14-17, deal expires on the 18th, let's hope that Amazon pulls through and ships before the deal expires.

I didn't need Snatch, only really ordered for the free ticket.

IDK man, sounds risky, I would just cancel out on Snatch, there's gotta be something else you could choose..right?

I already got my code for ordering Da Vinci Code. Shipped the day I ordered, but the code didn't come until the next evening.

When they shipped Hancock, the code showed up the next day for me as well. The process is the same company as done for numerous other movie promotions in the past, so there's no issue in getting them done once you have the code.

If you can't get the movie by the 14th, then I'd punt and find something else.

I purchased three movies and only got one code... anyone else have this same result?

Is it one per household, or should I expect more to come?

It says "limited to one offer/one promotional code per customer" in the terms and conditions. Not sure how much they're enforcing that, but that was one of the big reasons that I went to FYE rather than ordering from Amazon. You might try calling them and playing dumb -- maybe they have some way to override it and give you another one.

Wow. I didn't see that anywhere when I ordered, must have missed that fine print.

Looks like they're processing an Amazon Return!

You actually have to click the "see terms and conditions" link to see it -- I specifically checked it to see whether it was limited to one or not when I was considering ordering, and backed out when I saw that it was.

Like I said, you might try calling customer service -- since it wasn't clearly visible on the page, maybe they could do something for you.
