Amazon's Gold box Deal of the Day for Today (Dec 29) is The complete Monty Python's Flying Circus for $34.95. Since this was $100 when it first came out, it's a damn good deal.

Actually, when the original set came out in 2000 (without the Monty Python Live discs, which were released separately later), it was more along the lines of $200 retail, and I felt like I was getting an incredible bargain when I got it for $100. I'd be irritated about it being so much cheaper now except that I've had it for so long and gotten so many hours of viewing out of it. A great buy for anyone who doesn't have it yet.

Though it should be noted (in case there's any confusion), this is not those movies, it's the original British TV series. It's just as funny (if not more so, even if it is a bit more esoterically British in parts), but just to make sure that no one has any wrong expectations . . .
 
picked this up a few weeks ago for 39.99... haven't watched any of it but have seen most of 'em and wanted 'em for years.... definately a great price on this for what is perhaps one of the funniest television series ever...
 
In for one, thanks OP! Used to watch this on Time Warner on Demand years ago, but haven't seen it since. Classic show that I need to watch again!
