Amazon Price drops

I recently made a purchase on amazon.com for $89.99 and 2-3 days later the price of the item dropped to $79.99, i didn't even recieve the item yet. I'm not familar with amazon but wouldn't they refund me the $10? i mean it was only a couple days
 
Generally they don't do refunds anymore when prices drop after purchase (they used to until a couple years back), but it doesn't hurt to ask.
 
I have gotten refunds every time I have asked from Amazon, even after they supposedly stopped doing the 30 day refund window. Just ask as dmaul suggested.
 
Been a mixed bag for me. Have gotten them a couple times, and not other times. Same experience with my girlfriend and some family members.

So it doesn't hurt to ask.
 
You will have better luck with this over the phone, verses via email. You can always refuse shipment on the item and reorder it at the lower price.
 
thanks for the replys i just got the item today i sent the email they gave me some bullshit policy statement. I'm probably gonna call them when you do call do you gotta push them a little? I mean it was literally 3 days after i purchased the item the priced drop I would understand if it was over a week but if they are a company that has good customer service they should give me the refund.
 
Best bet is just reject it and reorder. Typically, when you receive the policy email they dont budge. I had this happen when I order 4000 points for 45 then it went down a day later for 39.99. Even though it was preparing to ship they would not issue a refund for the difference.
