Amazon Prime

CAGiversary!
Not sure if this goes here or not, but I couldn't find a "Question" forum except the one about CAG board instead of deals.

I'm planning on trying a month trial of Amazon Prime to get free shipping on the "Spend $80 and get $40 Credit" deal. I'm also going to preorder MW2 and get the free release date delivery.

If I cancel, do I still get Prime for the rest of the month? Or does it end the moment I cancel it?

And if I have MW2 preordered and used release date delivery for my shipping, will I have to pay for the shipping if I cancel before MW2 ships?

I believe it ends the moment you cancel it. As for the preorder, no, you won't have to pay.

It does end as soon and you cancel it. The way I did it was just set up a reminder in my computer to cancel on the day it needed to be. The preorder won't have to be paid for that way. I kept prime. Me and family split the tab. I'm the main and they gave me money to have the free shipping. It works out really good this way. You get your money back for the fee in the first order you do.

Thanks guys.

So if I do that, it'll cancel itself when the trial expires? That's a cool feature.

Yep, it will cancel at the end of the trial. You can also just remove your credit card to be extra safe...thats what I did. Turned off renew and deleted my card on the account.

Where does it say auto renew? is it the do not upgrade button?

Is there any way to split the $79 yearly fee between like 3-4 people? I really want to get Amazon Prime but I don't want to pay the full price since I don't shop that much (but enough to warrent Prime).
