Amazon Release Date Delivery

Sorry if this is the wrong place to put this but I couldn't find a better place for this. Well my question is this I have a good amount of trade credit at Amazon and want to use it to pre-order NHL 11 (360) but there is no release date delivery option in the check out section the best delivery option is 2 days. So does amazon not due RDD for every pre-oder? This is a must first day purchase for me so it would be a shame if I would have to go somewhere else to purchase it. Thanks a lot in advance.
 
they usually do. it's too far out though wait a little bit and see. if they don't announce it within a week of game coming out then cancel
 
Yep, they'll add the option closer to release date. They didn't have it for Reach until the release date was announced

then how come i had fallout and halo pre-ordered with 2 day, and now they have release date available as an option? pretty sure they are not the same, or they would not have different names. (i now have release date on halo and fallout)
 
I think Amazon usually gets the games sent out before release date with the 2-day option and often times you'll have it on or before release date. Sometimes it will be the day after.
 
Pretty sure you can just call them up and change it to release day shipping as soon as the exact date is announced and the shipping becomes an option. If your credit is expiring, just do the 2 day and call later to be safe.
 
They only call it "release day delivery" when a game has a Street Date. Most games do not have a street date, they only have a normal release date. If you don't know the difference: A normal game that releases on a Tuesday doesn't ship out from the manufacturer to the stores until Tuesday is here. A Street-dated game is shipped to retailers ahead of time and they have to sign a contract not to sell it until that date.

Also, Amazon's standard two-day delivery does not deliver on Sundays, but if you live in an area where Sunday delivery is available, and the game releases on a Sunday, then Release Day shipping will be delivered to you on Sunday whereas normal 2-day shipping wouldn't.
