thats right now instead of paying 99 cents for release day delivery its now 7.98

Not surprising. Amazon has been trying to make up shipping costs for the longest especially with the hiring of these courier companies.

now im pissed... i went into chat and asked about this.... and was told how some items will have this 7.98 feature.. i thank them and left..

I get an email 2 hours later saying the person CHANGED MY SHIPPING TO NEXT DAY and charged me 12.14

There is no way to get a refund until the item ships .. then they will reverse the shipping charges since i never approved it....i would wait a week for the game before i pay 12 bucks to ship it LOL

chat help and reversed the charges and was able to get me back down to the free shippin and refunded me the 12.14 now instead of waiting until march 8

yea i was just checking my email and got another email from amazon

some games will have

99 cent release day
1 day release day
2 day release day


I never seen a game that said if you want a game on release day PICK 2 day shipping before..
but i guess its more common then i though

well to be perfectly honest with you I would only expect release date delivery to be on items worth 50-60 bucks.

they would probably lose money on items worth 20

just my 2cents. I would just buy it from a store if it was 8$ shipping for release day and I had to have it right away.

TBH im re-examining the value in preordering games, sure you sometimes get bonuses but ive also been burned by rapid price drops (im looking at you castlevania and rockband 3) and the same goes for people who bought Dead Space 2 for 60$ and then saw it as Amazon DotD for 36.99 a few weeks later.

I think there are probably only one or two games a year that will warrant day one purchases from here on out for me at least. For the rest I can wait.

Prime is awesome. If I order something before 5pm, I will have it next day for free, because I live close enough to the hub that even with 2 day shipping it comes that fast.
