[Amazon] Waiting for the older games to go on sale?

TVippy

CAGiversary!
I would like to buy a bunch of older (2 year old and more) PS3 games. Does it make sense to wait for any of them to go on sale on Amazon? Or only newer games will get deals?

Should I wait for Lightning Deals or something? (I'm very new to Amazon)

Your best bet might be to scour AWD for deals. You can find older games at some great prices. Just have to be diligent and patient with your searching. But if you're not in any big hurry, you'll probably save the most money via AWD.

Thanks, will search the AWD section.

Well, games like Twisted Metal (need it new, so I know the Pass isn't activated), Need for Speed: The Run (did EA make the Pass free for this one?), Starhawk (again, need it new). Things like that. Also very-very cheap PS3 games that aren't completely awful. :)

(I realize AWD has only used games).

All EA passes are free.  You could also buy from Gamefly since all of their used games come with the online passes unused.

How do they achieve that? Provide their own new codes for each game??

Are there good deals on Gamefly at the moment?

Gamefly is a game rental company and they only send out discs, so when you buy the game, you are getting a used disc, but with the box and everything in it that was just opened to take the disc out.

How does their free trial work? Do they charge you first (and then revoke) or at the end of the month (when you still got time to cancel)?

They charge at the end of the month. While you're at it, you might as well join one of the conga lines located in Referral Central in the Contests and Free Stuff thread. There are some in my sig, and more like the PS4, PS3, and Gift Card conga. http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forum/57-referral-central/

(When using GameFly as part of a conga, you must cancel after 28 days, and before 31 days to avoid getting billed for another month)
