Animal Crossing New Leaf

clerk's shirt DLC from the post office this month - it's part of the 7-Eleven set, so I wonder if that means we'll be getting the rest of it. Probably not though - the shirt is the only item in the set that can be ordered, so I don't think they'll be giving us the unorderables, but you never know. I don't need the set anyway.

Gracie series at Gracie's since yesterday. I didn't unlock T&T Emporium until after summer was over last year, so her summer items are the only things I haven't bought from her yet.

It's tarantula season again, so don't run around with your net after 7 PM. :p

1 full year coming up for people who got this game at launch. I got mine a few weeks later. I was going to stop after a year, but I think I'll go a little longer until my birthday so I can get a second birthday item.

My turnip prices starting off high-ish this week. 128 for this morning. Not sure what pattern I have yet, but I'm guessing random.

 
I'm opening my Gates because Midge is leaving.  Free stuff in front of the Train Station and Town Plaza as always, but nowhere else.

NOOO!!!! I just read this now. I would have moved Midge. I think she left my GC version, which I played for a few minutes today and it felt like a NES game. :)

 
Yes and I have a ton if them but after playing New Leaf which is nearly perfect and beautiful the top down view and the fact there is nothing to do really shows.

I do like the fact you can have 15-16 villagers. I always felt New Leaf should allow 12. But if that happened we get even more annoyed with random houses.
 
I ended up with so many NES games too!

A couple of things I miss about the original - the first is running through piles of leaves; I liked those little leaf piles scattered through town. Also the ball that you could kick around - I didn't like having to deliver it to animals whenever I had to get it across a bridge, but I liked that it was something they could interact with even though they lost interest in it in like 2 seconds. :lol: But sometimes even when they didn't ask you for the ball, you could still see them kicking it around a little bit.

I tried to have my gate open overnight, but that kind of failed. It resetti'd at some point, so after then, I just turned it off.

Has anyone tried going back to Wild World? It looks and plays like crap now.

I loaded the intro screen about a month into playing New Leaf. It's definitely the worst looking of the ACs, but it was a DS game, so graphically limited compared to other systems that had an AC game.

Yeah, but it seemed playable back then. Compared to New Leaf it's tough to go back. I never noticed how bad the framerate was years ago.

 
I have seen screen shots of Wild World.... wow.  Horrible.  I can still play NES and SNES games, but it's like the more recent generations are just failing with 3D that as soon as something better comes around you really tell the difference.

I do miss the fact you can't see the sky in the GC version so for holidays you have to look in the pond.

That sounds fine by me, my game is set an hour early so there shouldn't be any issues if it's later even.

Open, I also have Fang (I had him in the GC version, he's awesome) in a tent.  I'd have him move in but I just had another cool wolf.

Man.. got on ACNL today and I had villagers reminding me that I hadn't played in 7 months. Pretty cool to see that you guys still play it. I miss it.

Hmm.. to get back into Animal Crossing again.. or to try Tomodachi Life..

 
I had the best day ever earlier today.  Someone new moved in...at first I freaked cause I saw their house was near my park but then a sigh of relief when it was tucked snuggly in the perfect spot and only took out a tree.  The best surprise is that it was Ankha that moved in!! YAY! She said she is from the town of Awesome....is that anyones?  And then to make my day even better...got my second sloppy furniture at retail in less than a week!

I bought about 3000 turnips this week on a whim...so i'll be on the search for a decent price.  I also still have a TON of free stuff by the tree...its building up.  This includes rare Sahara stuff and art.  I'm going to open either late overnight (i'm at work right now...off in 30 min) or maybe just tomorrow afternoon.

I also have a ton of items by my station, mostly nintendo items, a few Easter, if anyone wants to come by

I just went back to sell some more and they dropped to 154. I thought the value changes once a day, but now i checked and saw it changes at noon.

Damn.
