Animal Crossing newb. Cube or DS?

Which one would you recommend for someone that has never played the game.
I am leaning toward the DS cause of the wi-fi.

The GC version is only $20 now, and it has those old NES games (I know, emulation etc, but there's just something sweet about getting Ballon Fight for your birthday in a videogame). The DS version, however, does have the Wi-Fi (like you said) and you can get hats and such. Both is the only solution.

Both versions are really good and they both have there pros
GameCube has NES games, GBA Hookup and is on your TV
DS has Online Play and a Shitload of new stuff.

If I had to pick one I would say go with the DS version.

Go with the DS. While playing through the original, I kept thinking about how this game would be great portable...and my prayers were answered. Though the NES games are nowhere to be found, the stylus makes letter writing and menus a snap, and actual multiplayer is exactly what was needed.

DS. Just as addictive and you can play it on the go which is a major plus.

Get the DS version for sure. Bigger house, wi-fi links with friends in *real time* multi-player, hats and facial accessories, much better item menu and keyboarding control, and generally more to do in every corner of your town.

Wild World makes the 'Cube version seem kind of "meh."

Anyway, ACWW takes everything (EXCEPT NES GAMES) and improves upon them.
