Anyone been to their local Savons and look at the discount dvds ? I found some ADV brand anime for 2 bucks. I don't really care all that much for the stuff but I thought someone may care. I know for sure I saw 2 power stone dvds for only 2 bucks.

savons is owned by albertsons, its kinda like a longs drugs or rite aid... do you happen to remember what animes they had?

wow .. I actually have one of these nearby .. think i might check it out tommorrow. OP, any idea what they were off hand ? Hopefully not just those Hamtaro dvd and such like they sell at Big Lots.

They were ADV brand anime, and it wasn't kid stuff. The dvds had "sugested for mature viewers" on them. And I saw 2 volumes of the Power stone anime.

I checked 3 different Savons today and none of them had even heard of these dvd's coming in or any kind of display stand. Looks like this might have been something that particular store did.

Anybody have a list of these $2 anime DVDs. Are they just ADV DVDs? Also, where did you get in on this deal OP.

adv "for mature viewers"? Was it soft cell? I love them (hentai company owned by adv).

Out of all those stores you mentioned, I've only heard of rite aid, and I don't think there's one within 100 miles of my house.

Though there is a chinese place down the street called longs, I hate it but my mom loves the spicy salted shrimp there (the most horrendous thing I've ever tasted imo).

I live in SoCal this was over in the east part of LA county near pomona. The dvds were mixed in with the usual discount dvds of Beverly Hill Billys, old superman cartoons and crappy B movies from the 50's. Next time I stop by I'll pick one of them up just so you guys have an idea of what kind of stuff they had.

Anime dvds, huh? Never seen any except one before and it was the Robotech:masters. Maybe I should pass by to check anyways, it could be worth a trip.
