CAGiversary!
Okay, my trusty Koss UR-20s have finally went out on me after 4-5 years of use. So now I'm in the market for some new and better headphones.

I've seen some good deals on the Grado SR60 "best under $100 headphones" lately and have been tempted, but the main reason I use them is to keep my music/game noise silent at night. Since the Grado's are open-air I'm not too sure that they will work well at night. The second pair I've been eyeing up are the Sennheiser HD280 Pro, but the cheapest I could find them were ~$90 shipped. I would like to keep the cost under $60-70 if possible.

So my first question is: how much noise to the Grado's leak? Second, does anyone else have a suggestion for a good pair of headphones or know of any good deals on the Senn HD280?

I already have Shure e2c's for on the go, and need a good pair for home now. :)

I have a pair of Grado SR80's. For 100 bucks I think they sound awsome. But they do leak sound and more importantly don't block out sound. Depends on how loud you listen to your headphones but people will definitly be able to hear what you are listing to if they are in the same room. Not sure that its loud enough to be heard through a closed door and wall though....

Anybody else have a suggestion? If I can't find the Senn 280 pros cheaper, I'll probably just go with the Grado SR60s as they are supposed to sound so good, and I can't imagine they'ed leak enough sound where you could hear them through a door or wall so they might work alright.

http://www.headphonereviews.org has a pretty good database of headphones. They have a list for Best Valued Headphones and they are around $100 or less. The Sony MDR-V6 is cheaper than the Senn 280 pros. You can find them for around $70-80 and they're pretty great IMO.
