Been waiting to have the price on it drop before buying it. Seems as tough it's still roughly $300 which is only about $50-$80 drop.

Want to buy one before the release of Battlefield 2. Also, should I plunge down the money now or wait a tad longer?

Still looking for some deal, anything. Rebates etc. Anything I could get back for spending $300.

If you're not dead set on getting the EVGA, I got a Leadtek 6800GT (AGP) refurb from newegg for $211. People on Anandtech were reporting that if you got a dead one you can get a refund from newegg (within 8 days) or Leadtek will honor their normal warranty, and you can RMA for a new one.

Just keep an eye on the Newegg refurb section, they usually go out of stock within 15-30 minutes of coming in since there is a big thread about it in the Anand hot deals forum

Alright, thanks for the deals.

I'm not really into the refurbish stuff right now but it does seem like a deal alright.

I might jump onto monarchcomputer's offer with the $20 rebate with the free lego star wars copy. The game was pretty fun on the PS2.

Keep the deals on coming though.

I'd wait and watch over the next week or two. Since nvidia's latest line just came out, the 6x series should be going down in price quick.

That's what I thought too, but the 7 series is all pci express right? I'm guessing the majority still have agp or won't upgrade to pci-e, so the demand will still be there for the high end agp cards--the 6800s.
