I just picked up Castlevania Circle of the Moon for my GBA and it's really sweet. Does anyone know where I could pick up Symphony of the Night, Harmony of Dissonance, or Aria of Sorrow for a good price? AoS and SotN specifically seem really cool, and really expensive... at least 30 bucks.

The best prices I've seen online are on Ebay, but you gotta pay the $5.00 shipping which kills it.

I have seen the price of SOTN plummet over the years. I have seen it new at Blockbuster for $10 as well, and have also seen it for around $15 shipped on Ebay frequently as well.

Cool. So you're right about the Ebay price. Looking at the completed auction prices I can find it for about 15, but only if I search for it under "castlevania sotn" . If I search for "castlevania symphony", as I had been, it is going for around $30. I'll check blockbuster first though.

AoS I got for $26 pre-played cart only through EBgames, it appears here and there. You could get it even cheaper with a edge card. On eBay it goes for $30+ on average, but beware of bootlegs. Also TRU apparently clearanced it awhile back, but good lucking finding a copy at TRU. The copies have most likely already been horded.

HoD is quite rare and I know offhand that EBgames was (at one time) charging $39.99 for the cart alone. Complete wise it goes for about that on eBay, but the price isn't consistant with all the bootlegs out there. I think it goes for $25ish used at Gamestop, might wanna check there. I've yet to see HoD in any store new. The only thing that sucks about HoD is that its probably the worst Castlevania game on the GBA. Horrible music and I died a whopping two times. But It's still a must own, like every castlevania game in handheld existance.

I would look into getting AoS for sure though over HoD if you are short on cash. The reason being the Castlevania DS will be a sequel to AoS.

I got my AoS at TRU and they had one copy left, its probably gone by now. I would have bought it but I didnt have the cash. And I have to agree, HoD sucked. If I knew it was going to be rare, I wouldnt have sold it.

I liked all three games. I guess I don't knoow what was so bad about Harmony, because they're all about on the same level of difficulty for me.

Still, I think the majority of the "challenge" in a Castlevania game is getting 100% of the map, unlocking the bonuses, playing as the other characters, etc.

Oh well. One thing I have noted. Am I wrong, or has Konami proclaimed that each of the prior Castlevania's on the GBA would "return to its roots and be much more difficult than previous games"? I could swear I keep reading that but they when I play each game it seems about the same level as the last one. Just an observation - I actually like the difficulty right where it's at.
