Hey guys, i'm just wondering if anyone has any advice for which gaming headset is the best bang for my buck. I would like to get one that I could use for both my Xbox 360 and PS3. Any suggestions?

Most bang for your buck? Tritton 720's.

Best headset? Astro A40's but it will run you about 250.

Or you can just buy the astro mixamp and get a pair of turtle beach hpx's and you're good to go.

I've tried both tritton 720 and turtle beach dpx21, hands down for me is the turtle beach, now it does the exact same thing far as surround sound but dpx21 model does have the bass boost but the tritton 720 does not, far as price, there is a difference maybe 20 dollars differance. It just depends on what you want far as preference.

I have the Tritton 720 headset. As much as I love the headset, the many wires and the audio controller hanging there are a bit annoying. It seems you can find them regularly for $100 now and that's a great price. Now, if you were just looking for a PS3 headset, I would wait for the new official PS3 headset. A wireless, 7.1 audio headset with an MSRP price of $99.99. You can't beat that.

Nor can you buy that until (at least) September. I have a pair of A40s and AX pros. I like the 40s better, but everyone tells me my chatting sounds better on the trittons. Never tried a TB pair or anything wireless, although I may purchase the wireless mixamp.

the wireless mixamp can still be plugged up instead of just using batteries right? i'm really thinking of the A40s, i'm diggin the customization, and the fact that its a universal headset. does anyone know if you can use them as just regular earphones too? if so, does anyone know if they compare with the beats pro?

I use http://www.amazon.com/Creative-Labs-51EF0180AA001-Blaster-Surround/dp/B002J9HCV0/ but I dont believe this usb headset will work for xbox 360 but pc and ps3 I can confirm it does work tho you will not hear any game sounds as it is with all usb headsets.

however this is the most comfortable pair of headphones I own and my friend says that my voice is super clear.

I think since xbox360 and ps3 use different cables w/e you get will have to have multiple ways to connect. I think there is some kind of tritton headset that works for both but Im pretty sure every other headset wont.

I dont own an xbox 360 tho so Im not an expert or anything.
